I just got mine and I love it. I'm 6'2 and can lift up the seat so that my feet can barely touch the ground. I'm 260 so getting up hill takes some effort, but it's just enough to get excersise and not feel like a traditional bike. The engineering is very impressive and it's well made. Great warranty as well. I bought the Lite for my girlfriend for Christmas. I'm doing my best to not have her see me ride mine as to not spoil it. I don't like that it can be started without the keys though. It would also be nice to have more pep with throttle only when riding in traffic. Great bike and I'm very happy. I have a Surron too, but might be time to sell it with the crack down around here. Already got pulled over.
A few things here...from an engineering standpoint..at the price point of $1100-$1300 depending on whether you get it on sale or not. Not sure there's a fold bike that compares. Just from a nerd spec perspective..on paper nothing even comes close. The performance stands out to me. Before i purchased this bike i actually first looked at lectric and the portola. But neither was a high enough weight capacity. The velotric is the only foldable that can hold 440 lbs of payload. I thought maye id be foolish to think the performance wouldn't be compromised a bit. I was dead wrong. Sure the range took a hit a bit but thats to be expected im a huge guy. 6'1 well over the 330 limit for most ebikes...but thats about it. This thing is a gradual take off (i like that) but when ut gets going your CRUISING. It get me...a VERY bug guy..up hills with little pedal assist and no throttle. In throttle at 4 im also ip the hill. Then i got back to pas 3 to cruise. Very impressed by the little monster. Not sure how anyone doesnt give it flying marks no other foldabale is spec'd out and as fun a ride for the big guys. A- grade for me..only because the shifter needs to be tinkered with a bit to get it just right .and id rather rhe battery be in percentage
