- Excerpts from the DVD released by Bob Hodges Transport DVD's, www.bhtransportdvds.co.uk. At the beginning of 2004 there were more than 600 Routemaster buses in service in London, by the end of 2005 they were all gone except for the handful of buses retained for heritage routes 9/15.
This DVD shows Routemasters working on many routes in London plus guest buses that ran on the final days of routes 14, 22, 38 & 159. There is also film of the last day of Routemaster operation on route 159 on 9th December 2005 including the final journey of RM2217 between Marble Arch and Brixton Garage.

Arriva London will be ceasing their Heritage fleet Operations by the end of December 2022
Yes, I read about this last week, Stagecoach have also put their heritage fleet up for sale - new owners of Stagecoach presumably not interested in the history of the company.
4:00 & 5:15 this is how they should sound, not the horrid tinny sounding modern engines they later received.
