Just a few years ago I took this train to get from Salzburg to Oberndorf (to see the Stille Nacht chapel). This video brought me back to remind me of the years gone and the world so changed that I probably never will be able to get there again... Thank you!
So viele schöne Erinnerungen 🥰
Tolles Video, vielen Dank!
@@RailRelaxation Truth be known, the mining companies here in Western Australia drive their driverless trains in the Kimberleys, 2,500 km away from air-conditioned offices here in Perth. Rio Tinto has only had one serious crash.
2:16: from the right the connecting line does not come from Salzburg main station, but from the Salzburg Gnigl marshalling yard. The route is only used for freight transport and vehicle transfers.
Wunderbar ! Wunderbar ! Wunderbar! Die "Stille Nacht Bahn" ! Vielen vielen vielen Dank !!!
Great! I didn't know there was an S-Bahn network in Salzburg! Compliments! I know that Salzburg station ( Salzburg Hbf ) has recently been modernized! The sheds have been renovated! Nice commuter line to Lamprechtshausen! I did not think! Were the EMUs built by Siemens? The landscape leading from the factories to the countryside along the Salzach river is beautiful. The stops and stations are all new and modern! It's a shame that the Austrian railways are running out now! You've done almost all of them! It's Germany's turn then! Seriously speaking, it would be nice to travel the line from Munich to Lindau am Bodensee, a unique double-track and diesel-powered line. In Austria it would be nice if from Vienna you could get to Brno or as far as Mistelbach, Zwettl, in short, Lower Austria. Then you'll see! I saw that you started the Kosice Bratislava line! Optimal! Then I hope it will be the turn of the Czech Republic or Poland! A line that David Sousa would like would be Brno-Praha or Brno-Hranice-Ostrava! A beautiful line that I have never seen that connects to the line you just made could be the Hranice-Puchov which fits into the Slovak Carpathian mountains! Hvala!
@wladislaw79 Wladislaw, thank you. You gave me so many suggestions now . I did a good part of the journey from Bratislava to Czech Republic...Ans Austria, I covered quite a few lines there, but there are many more waiting to be visited. I wish you a nice evening. And, thank you.
Like all your videos, This was pretty but made me cold watching, ha. Needed hot chocolate. Can you show more of train before you depart on trips - journeys. Just a request not a complaint. Love your Videos. Thank you for great content.
@williamsouthworth5275 Thank you for your comment. It is not easy to get good footages of the train, the time on the station before the departure is a problem. But, anyway, thank you for your request.
- A very interesting branch line in Austria that hardly anyone knows about except those who live there. It's just a shame that the weather is so bad.
@lucwyp Danke. It is very difficult to say. I loved the Brazilian line Curitiba-Morretes because of the Atlantic Rainforest that we are driving through....loved the St. Moritz -Tirano line because of the beautiful mountain view and impeccable infrastructure, there is a French Yellow train with amazing infrastructure and views, and the Italian line along the Cinque Terre villages, the Simmering line from Graz to Vienna ... and many more....
Is this a regional tram? It sounds just like tram, it has a crossing with trolleybuses (I cannot imagine a regular train catenary using 15 kV crossing with a 750 V trolley wires) and most of the time it has a single trolley wire instead of a full catenary system.

I like these local commuters trains, railways very much. Thank you.
@rikardlalic7275 You are welcome. Enjoy the trip.
@no_media Thanks.
Die SLB Triebwagen haben den Ursprung aus den DUEWAG U3 Triebwagen der VGF in Frankfurt/Main.
Another beautiful frosty journey in a train. I like the contrast of colors on the surrounding objects.
@RunVirtual5 Thank you for visiting. Frosty😊... I wish you a nice day!

I've watched a couple of these now. I'm think I'm ready to drive one, from here in Australia.

@Terepin64 Yes, it is a local tram.
Hi Terepin64,
the tram is operating with 1000 Volts DC. Crossing a trolleybus line will not be a challenge for insulation technology.
@@MaxAtMyTube Yeah, I expected as much. Thanks for the info.
8:11 the switch in wrong configuration?
It's a trailable turnout. Which is meant to be cut open by the train and falls back to its initial position afterwards.
