Leathercraft: Skiving Knife Sheath DIY | 3 min crafts

Making a leather sheath to protect a well-sharpened blade is the topic of this short video.
For this craft I used chrome tanned leather scraps left over from other projects.

Why is it that everyone starts with a template, but doesn't show how to make the template to fit a knife?

I honestly didn't think it was necessary for such a simple sheath, but thank you very much for pointing it out.
I want to make a sheath for my hiking knife and I will be sure to include it in the video.

I didn't make a model because the knives can have different sizes. I simply traced the outline directly onto a piece of paper.
