    Totally with you on a missing high note. I really like the song and I think the bounce of the choreo is very square-dancey which is probably to fit the Good,The Bad and The Ugly sample. I really hope you watch the comeback showcase performance of Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard's wife because I think the styling you wanted more of here is found in that performance (also it's just great)

    • @VMYeahVN
      @VMYeahVN ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard's Wife should have been the title track. I think it makes a much bigger splash both musically and with the choreo. The song name is too long and weird to be a title track though lol. I get why they chose Unforgiven as the title track because it fits the theme of their era and prior comebacks so far, but ugh. Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard's Wife is so so so good and impactful. The performances they come up with for that song for the year end shows is going to be crazy.

  • @redmash97
    @redmash97 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    wait that's exactly how i felt - I don't dislike the song even though it's odd truly bc of how dope and interesting the production is but it's missing an overarching melodic hook to pull it all together bc it feels a bit fragmented - i think more of the rap verses should have been cut for singing. It also doesn't have a true bridge which makes it also feel kind of confusing - but honestly I prefer a weird song over a boring one.

  • @LadislavsladyD
    @LadislavsladyD ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Interesting point about the chorus choreo, but to me it didn’t look cute…I thought they were more just trying to fit the moves with the western/cowgirl concept ?! That was the strongest motive for me throughout the music, fashion and dance. But I agree musically that it needed something else..a stronger or more melodic part. Overall strong though and the girls did amazing

    I was waiting for your reaction. 💕 There are definitely great elements to the song and I also love the concept, it really suits them, I feel like if there’s one group that can pull off the ‘western americana whatever this is’ sound it’s them, however, for me the song was unfortunately underwhelming. It’s missing the ‘spark’ that makes a song a title track. I usually prefer more melodic songs, and although I don’t mind repetition, for me it becomes slightly annoying towards the end. I wish they made some more inspired choices with the hook, or at least do a different final chorus. It’s okay though, I don’t think it’s a total miss, it has that Le Sserafim identity, it just feels too little, if that makes sense. I expected a statement, that’s what Fearless and Antifragile were, and a title like ‘Unforgiven’ to close off the trilogy deserved a more impactful song.

    @lopez082 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It grows eventually, I think what people is missing is that high note from Antifragile maybe, but there is a continuation in their sound
    I think they did that election with the dance because it would be really heavy, they balanced the heavy base with the girly/groupy dance

    I really love this song, but I agree on them needing a little extra something, whether it be high notes or adlibs. If they had that I think the ending would've been much stronger. BUT that prechorus is to die for.

  • @kangel8553
    @kangel8553 ปีที่แล้ว

    I totally agree! The song isnt bad at all but its definitely missing some more vocals. When i first heard it I really liked yunjins note at the beginning and was hoping for some more of that throughout the song (not necessarily super high notes, but even something that gave just a bit more melody). I also agree about the choreo during the chorus. It completely threw me off when i first saw it. Its somewhat jarring when combined with the beat so i get what you were saying about wishing there was something groovier. Anyway, its always great watching your reactions! I always appreciate your criticisms bc they tend to point out things that felt off to me in songs that i couldnt point out myself.

    Not all songs have to have highnotes, if you add unnecessary highnotes to this song, it will mess up. Why are K-Pop fans so crazy about highnotes? Highnotes don't prove that the song will get better or the singer is better, adding highnotes that you don't need to add will only ruin the vibes of the song, and the song will just be the same as antifragile, you're good with SM songs that add rnb bridges in every song and very outdated highnotes.
