Michael, the egg you picked up at 7:25 is a Russian icon piece of “Our Lady of Perpetual Help.” It is reminiscent of icons from the 16th century. The “XP” is Greek for “Chrismon” or Jesus Christ. I think it could sell in the $30-50 range. I loved to hear that you know who Michael Hague is! I own a large collection of his books, most signed by him, each including a personally drawn picture by him relating to the subject of the book! He was very gracious and patient when signing and drawing for each person! He is not talked about much in recent years, but I think he was a wonderful illustrator! Hope this is helpful. Loved the Japanese Mother Goose figures!
What a delicious antique mall. Thank you for purchasing the Lotus Bowl, by Knowles Taylor & Knowles. Knowles China is my Mother’s side if the Family. As a little kid, I was always collecting little items and made makeshift collections. So As an adult I can blame it on my DNA.😂😂 Lotusware was produced for a very short time, due to issues in the pottery factory, breakage and missing inventory, no blame here😊. The few Lotusware pieces remaining are in private collections and in the Knowles Museum in East Liverpool, Ohio. I visited that historic town a few years ago, but all the China and Pottery Museums were unfortunately closed. That might be a Fun trip for You and Richard in the Spring, with the fur babies. Please think of keeping the Lotusware for yourself, those pieces are magnificent but difficult to find in the Wild, after 134 years! I am sure you found one of a kind, there is a Collector’s Book, check it out, if you discover it on one of your adventures. Seeing those pieces you will hear the Angels Singing. 🤩🎉❤️💃 Thanks for reading through this post!
I can see why this antique mall is one of your favorites. They have great stuff. To bad about the mother goose figurines, they were different and really cute. I too was into the bird vase also. Something fun and different. Happy February Michael❤️ sun is out in Ohio🌞
I love Michael Hague! I began buying his illustrations, books, calendars and such as a teen in the early 80’s. I’ve never heard anyone else speak about him until you did today. Great taste!
I agree, the mcm glass craze has slowed down,,I think it's so fragile, alot of folks can only collect so much, but just like everything people grow bored,,on to the next 😢❤❤❤😊
Loved the lotus ware bowl!! I’ve never seen anything like that. 😘❤️ I am not a glass collector, but if I was I would buy antique glass of all kinds. I love the green with gold gilding and milk glass too. I’ve never been drawn to mid century, except bittersweet.
Stunning pieces Love the pegasustin The bird face vase is so cutee Put some dafodils in it, perfect for spring How do you play that worm game? Enjoy the sunshine X
Did anyone else look up lotus ware only to see that exact piece listed by the Smithsonian Museum as part of its collection? I just thought it would be great to own a museum piece.
Hi Michael! I missed the very end so I’m not sure if you got the Pegasus piece? I hope you did! And if you did I’m interested!! Also I REALLY wished you had gotten the weirdly awesome white handmade bird vase! I understand why you didn’t but oh man, it was really unique!! Great video! Big hugs!!
I agree with you about the MCM glass I stopped collecting it about a year ago and I am trying to sell mine at the antique/vintage events that I participate in. It’s too bad it’s nice glass. Nice finds thanks for sharing.
Don’t you think a lot of people who love the mid-century glass are Boomers, because it reminds them of their youth? Since they are getting older (and starting to die off?), it’s understandable that there would be fewer buyers. I was born in the 50s, grew up in the 60s, married and started my own home in the 70s….so MCM appeals to me for those reasons. I don’t buy as much for my home anymore, and within the next ten years or so, I can see myself downsizing. So, yes, we may be on the downhill side of the MCM craze.
I'm not sure that we are on the downside of MCM, but what I do think is live sellers tend to saturate their buyers with one particular style and you eventually run out of buyers that don't have that style, know what I mean? If one seller is selling it, the next thing I see is every live seller selling it, leading to the saturation. Just my opinion.

I had a zillion country living mags from the early 80’s. I must have perused those so many times. Loved them.

To bad about the Mother Goose set they were really cute. Well thanks for taking us along. Waiting for the next go round. Bye Michael.
The Lady and Tramp figurines were so cute.
Dogs, sheep, and surprisingly ducks, are popular items around my neck of the woods right now.
I had to laugh at the BOZO phone. Just talk to the %#@. 🤣 Beautiful finds.
The Lotus bowl was spectacular, but the square, interwoven nouveau/deco white piece and the pegasus lidded bowl I would buy in an instant!
oh my gosh! That Lotus bowl........
At times I come across things too that draw me in and confuse the hell out of me, making me question why do I like this so much 😂

Thank you for showing the weird also.
I purchased the original Fisher-Price castle and am looking for the Weebles haunted house. It’s totally ridiculous but it makes me happy 😊.

Definitely would've grabbed the lady and tramp set, too cute ❤
That lotus ware was gorgeous!
Lovely white antique porcelain.
Beautiful items I loved that bird vase
You made the right decision on the bird vase. It was cute! But it was crudely hand built, perhaps in a ceramic class, and way over-priced.
Love that you know Michael Hague! I collect his books💕
Stunning pieces
Love the pegasustin
The bird face vase is so cutee
Put some dafodils in it, perfect for spring
How do you play that worm game?
