Truffle has developed well in a short period in your hands and his performance here shows how effective your work is in the sessions we don't see. Tonic looked like he was enjoying himself. It is easy to forget how young and relatively inexperienced he is, even though you have had two great seasons with him. The first vid i saw was where you had just got him and instead of working him in the school you took him for a "traing hack" in the woods and introduced him to some small jumps. It seemed such a natural, relaxed way of training. I hope you and Tuffle will develop as great a partnership as you have with Tonic.
Tonic doesn't waste energy, he's such a steady boy. Truffle is doing well for a horse who didn't know how to jump just a short time ago! I'm looking forward to your next video.

Your hunting videos are amazing (and scary) but can also make it seem like you get a horse from Ireland and off you go on massive hunts. I am just starting my journey with a 5yo ISH direct from Ireland and definitely have good and not so good days! Thanks for sharing
Love Tonic and Truffle, both different in the way they ride but you manage them beautifully and give them confidence when needed. Looking forward to the next video!
Tonic was quite fine by the end of last season but now he’s summered well and looks in show condition. He’s so honest that horse but beware the lack of length in his jump with ditches behind. He might opt for the long one but he’s not a flyer. The TB is bold ! I think I’d just take time with loads of grids for both of them. To get tonic to be a touch more athletic and Truffle a bit more shapely over a fence. Can’t wait to see your season upcoming.
Do you think a Total Contact Saddle (tcs) would be acceptable out hunting? My pony is a small cob with a big bum and no withers (and a big jump and stays all day)

Good job Monty. Riding two very different horses with different strides. Keep up the work and definately agree pole work would be beneficial.
