Shoto let out an exasperated sigh. This was the third ball the Todoroki’s had held in the past month. He found himself slipping away from the bustling crowds of people only interested in his fortune. The prince adjusted his sleeves, running a hand through his hair as he opened the door to a simple but cozy room belonging to his manor. It was his personal favorite since the only person who ever occupied it was him. Though, instead of walking into an empty room, he found you, rested on the sofa. He assumed you hadn't noticed him, too enthralled in whatever you’d been sketching in your notebook. Todoroki cleared his throat, taking a step forward. Your eyes locked and you felt your heart skip a beat. Red coating your cheeks as you stood up frantically, dropping the book and letting a few of the papers sprawl across the floor. You reached down for the papers muttering apologies. Only when his hand touched yours did you realize he'd begun to help you pick up your works. ”Did you do these yourself?” He questioned, motioning to the photos and sketches he'd picked up. Trying to ignore the faint blush rising to his cheeks. ”Oh, yes. It's just a hobby of mine you.” A smile tugged its way onto your lips. ”They’re nice.” He found himself reaching for the final stray drawing. It was a sketch of him the soft lines of your work made him almost magical. His vision lingered on the drawing, catching your attention. ”O-oh, I'm sorry I have a bad habit of drawing things I find beautiful-” You cut yourself off as quickly as you'd begun. Standing up and shuffling the rest of your papers. ”Forgive me, didn't mean to intrude.” You bowed, wishing the world would suddenly swallow you whole. He smiled softly. ” It's quite alright.” Todoroki handed you the paper. ”I'm sorry, but I never introduced myself.” ”There's no need. It’d be rather foolish of me not to know the names of the hosts of the ball I attended, Prince Todoroki.” ”I feel fairly ashamed not knowing the name of such a talented guest.” Your voice was as soft as the sweetest of melodies. ”Y/n.” Todoroki couldn't help but think of how lovely your name was. It was as sweet as each of the smiles you'd given him. ”May I ask what brought you here?” It was then that you'd remembered where you were. ”I only wished to leave the crowd for a while.” You clutched your book, twirling a strand of hair through your freehand. ”I must admit I'm a tad nervous around large groups of people. And I'm not much of a dancer either. It's never been my strong point.” He chuckled, stretching a hand out to you. ”I wouldn't mind helping you with that.” You sat your book down, putting your hand in his. ”I’d love that.” The music from the ballroom was heard faintly from down the halls but Todoroki led you through the melody. A hand embracing your own while the other laid against your waist. The world around to seemed to disappear and for the moment, the rest of the world was no more. Todoroki couldn't help but wonder, was your heart beating as quickly as his? Did you feel as breathless as he did when you two locked eyes? Was this love at first sight? The song finished up and a bell sounded through the manor, signaling that the party was coming to a close. The two of you came to a stop and you looked between the door and Todoroki sadly. Wishing that your time didn't need to end. ”I guess this means goodbye, ” you spoke first. He reached for your book, resting it in your hands, the tender look in his eyes matching your own. ” I believe so... I'll be needed at the party soon.” He took one of your hands placing a kiss on it before making his way to the door, though his touch still lingered. A smile made its way to his face, feeling as though a weight had been lifted off his chest after meeting you. ”I hope we meet again... It’d be nice for you to call me Shoto.” As he left you couldn't help but feel your heart tug, resting your fingers over the blade hidden under your outfit. Why did such a genuine and charming man, have to be your next assassination target?

Also it might not be done for awhile because I loose motivation really quickly.. - - I’d also recommend listening to snowman (11:01) while reading :) - - let’s just pretend todoroki is a prince for awhile because it just seems like a really cute story idea - - you and todoroki were dancing at a formal ball, as you normally would. you had both grown together, as both of you were royalty. you had decided to go out to the garden since the crowded room was overwhelming, and asked todoroki to come with you for comfort. as you two were walking, you noticed it had began to rain. you didn’t really mind it too much, as you enjoyed the rain. todoroki, being the gentleman he is, didn’t mind as long as you were happy. you finally reached the garden. “y/n, can we dance again?” he didn’t really ask that often, the two of you only did it because it was expected of you. but ofcourse.. you just blurted out a yes out of excitement. you both began to dance, still being able to hear the faint music from inside the castle (?) though it was awkward for a bit , and you stepping on his feet every once in awhile, everything seemed to be perfect. with the rain drops hitting your face and the way the lighting hit todoroki’s face in a way that made him looks absolutely perfect.- not that he doesn’t all the time. it seemed to be even a little romantic. you turned to hide the slight blush covering your face. he noticed, and even flinched at the sudden movement. he grabbed your chin, and pulled you closer by the waist. “I love you, y/n..” “I love you too, shouto” the rest of the night, the two of you danced peacefully in the rainy garden.. - - I know it got really off-topic but I kinda enjoyed writing this-
