This was simply beautiful beyond words. Two wonderful artists of exceptional talent performing in exceptional surroundings singing in exceptional harmony. THIS IS ART! Thank you for your comments Jeff. Your comments and the fact that you let your emotions show while listening really enhances the experience. What I love with reactions done well is that I sit by myself and listen and watch but feel this intimacy like being at a concert and experiencing something together. Respect to you Jeff! Take care! ♥
A nice reaction man. Beautiful performance and a powerful yearning by Jacob and Aurora for the cause of conservation. We should all treasure and support the work of Greenpeace
I'm a massive Aurora fan so that's what brought me here. This is my first exposure to Jacob. If I'm being totally honest...at first I wasn't sure if his voice was for me. But by the end he completely won me over. And from the start there was no denying his piano abilities. You're right...the subtleties and nuances in his playing...it's clear that music just flows through him. I'll definitely go explore his music further after this.
Hey Jeff, I so much enjoyed hearing a reaction to a song of your own choice- best idea ever! When Jacob sat down to play that piano, these same thoughts came to my mind: this man can communicate with almost anyone in the world. He doesn’t need to shred either (although I love it when he goes nuts! ;) but he knows how to express himself, at any level. And to me, it’s EXACTLY the same with Aurora. It’s almost as if their superpower lies in their vulnerability, in their ability to strip back all the gloss and shine, and just be their childlike selves. I know, both Jacob and Aurora deeply care about our world, and have chosen to keep their vulnerability, both in different ways, but just look at Jacob’s two different socks and his funny hoodies 😉 With that comes so much grace, vulnerability and a sense of awe. Yes, they both might cry easily, I agree with your sentiments there, Jeff. But from what I’ve seen, they both also laugh and are silly easily. Their collaboration is a match made in heaven, and I honestly hope that this will continue for a long time! This song runs the whole gamut from love to rage and despair, and that scream at the end gave me the chills! And then the camera zooms up and away, leaving two young, vulnerable people on an ice sheet of sorts…. Chilling. Just a last thought: you, Jeff, are bringing so much joy and heart to all of us on TH-cam. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏
Magnificent performance. I had the wonderful opportunity to see Jacob live this past summer, he truly is a breathtaking musician. I would love to see you react to Jacob's Mahogany Session version of "Summer Rain" with Chris Thile and Madison Cunningham. It is a magical performance. Those 3 did several concerts together, I can only hope they will also make an album as well. Aurora is on my bucket list to see live. Someday
I'm jealous. I hear it was a great concert. I read a review from "The Times" London, and the reviewer had nothing but praise for the concert and Aurora.
I was at the Albert Hall concert. I wasn't close enough to see whether Aurora cried in the performance, but it was incredibly emotional. The whole concert was incredible.
Great reaction, Jeff 🙂 These two artists are pretty much like no other, and like you, I would LOVE if they would do some more stuff together. I'm pretty sure they're more or less on the same wavelength. Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
So quick out of the gate! I have not come up for air since diving down the Jacob Collier magic rabbit hole. Aurora is new to me. What an extraordinary work of art these two have created. Their scream at the end is still reverberating in me since I first heard this just yesterday. Thank you for this.
The best reaction i have seen so far. You can enjoy the music, no over fake reaction with mimics... It felt sincere, intellectual and warm. Great video
I could say that nothing surprises me when it comes to Aurora but that would be a lie!! Holy cow Jeff that was a duet of two gifted artists! This pairing in itself would have been amazing but the scenery combined with a worthy cause puts this to another level. Jacob's unique style melds so nicely with Aurora's it's almost too good to be true! Aurora has injected this "war cry" into quite a few new songs (Soul with no King--Some type of Skin etc.) as a beautiful impactful weapon in her musical arsenal. This was exceptional !!!
I've been very careful about the Aurora content I consume recently since I'll see her perform live at the end of November and I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm glad I took a chance on this song. It's really beautiful. Obviously it's not something she would perform on tour, but I still avoided it for a week. I don't know much about Jacob Collier, but I'm always on the lookout for Aurora. Jacob's piano skills are exceptional, and they suit Aurora perfectly. And so does his singing style. The scream at the end always brings me to tears. (and I always giggle at the fact that Aurora almost fell off of the barge.)
Wow! This was amazing! Traveling to Svalbard is on my bucket list. It’s not an easy place to get to, but I hope to be around long enough to make it happen:)

Hi Jeff! Thanks for doing this reaction so quickly 🥰 I absolutely love this performance, and the scream in the end hits hard🥺💚 Imo the best collaboration I’ve seen, at least at this moment😍 It has been an unusually warm summer this year on Svalbard, Norway.
Pause. I take note to get to know Jacob Collier. AURORA is fabulous as usual (there is no such thing as 'usual' about her), What a gift of a reaction/analysis information-wise and otherwise. Thank you! (My main worrry during the performance was that a polar bear would surface and eat them both.)
Jeff...did you see what just dropped? Jacob's "World O World" (Official Score Video) recorded in 2018 in Nashville. I have never heard a choir like this and Jacobs genius arrangement will leave you stunned (as usual)
I just heard 'World O World' and was mind-warped in the most wonderful way. It is a master class in dissonance and resolution like I've never expierenced before and total emotional journey. Every music lover and choir nerd needs to hear this !
As expected (& also unexpected), everything about this is beautiful & stunning. It's like the universe bringing the reincarnation of an ancient god & goddess of music together to issue a final clarion call to save the planet.
In the beginning I got the vision that he was playing on icicles, and when he plays that very low base note (the old church-bell) it makes me feel sad, and I become aware of the dirty, almost black snow in the mountains. The video was recorded in Svalbard, Norway, where the Global Seed Vault is situated. It provides long-term storage for duplicates of seeds from around the world, conserved in gene banks. Spitzbergen was considered ideal because it lacked tectonic activity and had permafrost. In the description of Jacob's video there is a link to a Greenpeace petition to stop deep-sea mining. Please, please, _please_ sign it, to protect the marine life of this planet.
I've been a fan of Jacob Collier since he started releasing his solo videos on TH-cam when he was 18. Aurora has impressed me with a couple of things, but mostly she has just left me feeling kinda mehhh... BUT... The two of them together blew me away!!! A superb harmonic mesh... An electric attraction... Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...
She said in some video or interview that she got sick from being in snow and cold all day and that we would find out from what later (when this came out). She was also sick during several shows after that.
@@bjornarsimonsen7592 Sickness is fundamentally caused by viruses and/or bacteria. So cold - per se - is not the sole cause. She probably got that sickness from some fellow human being.

Check him out with snarky puppy, and I actually know Aurora on a personal level! She's always awesome
Dream collab tbh
Beautiful! If this doesn’t help the cause to preserve the oceans, nothing will.
This is a legendary performance for sure. ❤
