Very enjoyable video. I remember visiting this area ( I believe it was early 1970's) and seeing 44 tonners marked Aroostook Valley Railroad. The trains seem much longer now and the business has changed dramatically. But the area is still as scenic. Nice seeing these rural scenes and I'm glad Mr. Irving's railway is successful. Thanks for sharing.
These are some incredible shots of rarely videoed territory, especially Van Buren! I had always been under the impression that all of the Irving lumber came from east of Mattawakmeag, didn't realize just how busy that transload is! I'll definitely have to get up that way soon, especially with more green geeps finally coming!
I see trains on the tracks up in Madawaska- Grand Isle every day at work!! I also see the Canadian trains across the river too!! I thought the Railroad died up here in Aroostook but maybe I'm wrong. I love seeing trains! I see Northern Aroostook Railroad trucks with Track wheels on the ends, drive by, I'm like man I wish I could be a Train operator.
Great video it’s crazy to see how the Old BAR lines have changed over the years. But great to see the trains still running.Would u happen to know if there is a live scanner feed in Waterville area?

Fantastic video! Always enjoy your videos.
A nice P5 on the first one, and always neat to see one of the former PAR leasers on the second
It’s a p3
Great vids
Great video as always! Heard CN bought all those GM GATX units. Most up here have white spray paint patch job. I wonder who owns this one.
CN only bought about 20 which had been on lease to CN.
@@Maine_Railfan Ok that explains it. Someone had said they bought the company out, but I saw it was still being publicly traded.

This one is for the Bangor area, which often picks up Waterville traffic. www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/41650
Cool thx bro
Great catch. Are all those boxcars from Huber ?
Yes
This is nice and all, but where are the gevo's and 7545?
It's a land free of the junkbox.
@@BranchlineGeepProductions from land of the junkbox to land of the GMTX.
@@Maine_RailfanThe land is what is important up there lol. I'll take a GMTX EMD over a junkbox any day.
@@BranchlineGeepProductions you have seen 7545 so many times you are being delusional.
@@Maine_Railfan Well I guess if CSX replaces all the GE junkboxes with GMTX GP38-2's you'll have to sit it out.
