I don't think that farmers 3000 years ago was working for themself. They were all slaves of a lord. Also there were considerably less people on Earth overall.

I read about the law of categories in Tim Ferris' Tools of Titans. But I mean there are many examples of people who weren't first but still were successful, right? My channel is growing very fast and I was certainly not the first person making Android tutorials on TH-cam. Sometimes there is demand for more than 1.

Kalle, great topic bro. Correct, though jobs are being lost due to technology, this is really a win for other creative jobs. Unfortunately, the non-tech savvy older folks do not have the mindset to really pick up a PC and start a new tech career at their age. 👍
Even if they did it would be difficult for them to get a job. Technology is a career field for people in their twenties starting out. You'll face far more age discrimination starting a new career at 65 compared to 20.

The premise is really good here. I think there are extreme cases like he said Oprah, Joe Rogan etc... which statistically are pretty unattainable. But finding something on a much smaller scale seems very attainable. Nice video man!

Also, working for yourself seems to have many definitions. Working for yourself and self-employment are not the same.

i’d love to work for myself/ work fully remote for my career
I personally want to work for a large company after graduation for many years, and maybe move around a bit, but digital nomad seems interesting if you could make enough money to justify it.
