    Lovely piano music! Thank you for that!
    And standing there, looking at the improvement, realizing that the numberplate now will ruin the whole view! Looks good mr Fillingham!

    😅reminds me of when I removed my rear fender 4yrs ago without much instruction available. You’re spot on - took about 2hrs and the engineer who designed the battery box should be made to sit in a corner. I do like the ribbed top on the stock fenders so just cut up a stock fender and shortened much more than that one. Looking forward to seeing the lights and plate solution you use.

    I admire your skill and patience Stu' but, personally I would have ended up taking a pair of tin snips to the origional mudguard in situ

    That looks so much better. We'll worth the faffage. It was that rear end that put me off the bobber and I ended up with the Speedmaster instead. Looking forward to seeing the finished article with all the lights and plate. Cheers Uncle Stu for another cracking video.

      If you don´t like the Bobber´s rear end, you don´t need a Bobber at all. It is what makes a Bobber a Bobber,

    Morning Stu. That’s definitely the style of rear mudguard that Triumph should have fitted. So much more in tune with the rest of the bike. I looked at the bobber before buying my Interceptor. I liked the styling but I didn’t want a 1200. If they had made a 650 I may have been tempted.

    • @dalewintle8099
      @dalewintle8099 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Steve RE are rumoured to have a 650 Bobber coming out called the Shotgun , I think I could be tempted to swap my interceptor for that.

      @@dalewintle8099 Hi Dale. I the Shotgun at the NEC bike show the other year. I liked the bike but not the paint scheme. I love my Interceptor now. It would take a lot of leverage to get me to change.

      @@stevewalker2047 Yes I have to agree I too love everything about my Interceptor , especially now I have added all the mods I wanted , but I do have a soft spot for a bobber , but it would have to be something special.

    Morning Stewart. Seems like a lot of messing about to change a simple mudguard. Remember spring washers before lock tight? That said can't wait to see the end produce. Happy safe cruising sir 😊👍.

    Ayyyyyy-Up Stuart, Great quality video as usual, informative and what looks to be a nice piece of kit from motone,
    It's the content I don't get, these type of bikes are difficult enough to keep clean on the uk, so why replace a full mudgard with a half one.
    Now you have arse about trying to fit number plates and lights, it looked like a Bobber
    Before and it looks like Bobber now.
    What's the point.
    Get it out and ride it dont hide it!

    Amazing this is actually what I've been brainstorming for the last few days. I hate the Bobber rear end/mudguard but the solutions apart from the £1200 + Thornton Hundred trident style hub mounted wrap around involve an illegal side mounted plate. I know mature Triumph owners get a pass as I have several times speeding on my SE but getting it through MOT and being certain a stroppy bobby of which I've met a few not a lot won't use it against you? I love Bobber with as you say a proper rear end would own one and can afford one. The standard bike looks so Heath Robinson I don't like it, it defeats the whole point. As regards Bobbies I'm fully aware that you are one of the finest Yorkshiremen to ever put on the uniform but I live in the south so you know what I mean. Looking forward to part two of this. My other complaint about the Bobber is inner tubes checked out spoke tubeless rims £2500 + a set. I like the green and silver tank the skinny front hoop and the apes. Still adding to the piggy bank I'm an old duffer so I'm 'careful' with my pennies.

    Hello. I would like to ask a question about the bonneville bobber exhaust, I noticed that in the exhaust there is an H-Pipe that connects both sides, is there any problem using an exhaust that is direct from the engine and independent of the other exhaust without the H- Pipe or X-Pipe? You would help me a lot by answering this question, I can't find it anywhere. What's the problem with using it like this?

  • @adrianrouse5148
    @adrianrouse5148 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like that manufacturers try different styles. But if that was my bike I would look to fitting guards that work. I have a flattracker with no front guard. But it's misery if you get caught in the rain. I have bikes with short rear guards and in the rain you get a wet dirty back. The gold flash with large guards is the best in the rain. But not so pretty.

    Well I wish they showed you haw too do littie things on all bikes, But to remove rear brake pads and a brake lever on a Piaggio mp3 is not easy. First the exhaust pipe is in the way of the rear pads.....and the front brake lever, there's no screws near it to take it off. PDF Workshop manual cost and tools lol.
