The Christianization of the Roman Empire

Another general reflection on the impact of Christianity in the Roman world largely meant (not only in religion then, but also culture and above all politics and administration). In the video we speak primarily of the development of the Church as a growing para-statal entity to that of the Empire, and how the ecclesiastical structure progressively strengthened and replaced the same Roman state during the crisis of the ancient world even surviving as an alter ego of the same in the Latin-Germanic West.
A very introductory level of discussion also this time therefore, but with the aim of making reflect on the Christianization of the Empire not as a moment of caesura but rather of continuity that took place just as an answer to concrete problems of the ancient world both from a socio-political and cultural point of view.
