This is a model instructor! Excellent communication, explanations for the student, and does not create a stressful environment. This is an effective mentor.

Tip that I saw from a pilot that did the atp program he had a poster in his room of the cockpit of the aircraft he was learning to practice flows.

Nice video tutorial and the demonstration aspect of discussion between student and instructor.

So on runup, you do not cycle props 3 times to check manifold increase, oil pressure change by governor , and full range of prop cycles as you do with SE constant speed props? Great explanation on everything but confused as to why not cycle props.

Great question, thanks for asking. We found that bringing the props back was enough to check the govs. It's also what most turbo props do too.

In your personal opinion, would this aircraft make a good personal plane for a family of 4? My concern is payload / range.

The Tecnam is great at lower altitudes. The Sling TSi is a far more capable four seat aircraft, being turbo charged it handles high, hot and heavy scenarios impressively. Let us know if you have more questions, Jean would love to talk planes with you!

How much rudder pressure would you say you apply for take off?
