  • Arabian or Arabian horses are a breed of horse born in the Arabian Peninsula. With its unique head shape and high-tailed carriage, the Arabs are one of the most easily recognizable breeds of horses in the world. It is also one of the oldest breeds, and archaeological evidence of horses in the Middle East resembles modern Arabs 4,500 years ago. Throughout history, Arabian horses have spread around the world through both war and trade and have been used to improve other breeds by adding speed, sophistication, stamina, and strong bones. Today, Arabian pedigree is found in almost all modern riding horses.

The Arabs evolved in a desert climate and were praised by the nomadic Bedouin. Bedouins were often taken to his family's tents for shelter and protection from theft. Breeding of traits, including the ability to collaborate with people, has created horse breeds that are friendly, quick learners and willing to please. The Arabs also developed the sassyness and vigilance needed for horses used in raids and wars. This combination of motivation and sensitivity requires modern Arabian horse owners to treat their horses competently and with respect. Arabian is a versatile variety. Arabs dominate the field of Endurance Riding and today compete in many other areas of horse riding sports. They are one of the 10 most popular horse breeds in the world. They are now found all over the world, including the United States and Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the European continent, South America (especially Brazil), and their country of origin, the Middle East.

I really dislike what breeders have recently done to reverse such a majestic, beautiful and sound athletic animal (thousands of years naturally in the making, only guided by lovers of the breed)...
A special breed, who could glide their compact muscular bodies and long legs effortlessly across the desert sands faster and longer than all others... To now, looking like a "Frankeinhorse"...
An ugly hyper-concave shaped head, mouth and nostrils squat and bent so awkwardly that it looks difficult for it to breath while just hoping around, and where did the hair go on it's face and muzzle that would protect it from the harsh UV rays of the desert sun??
(Nevermind. These horses aren't allowed out in nature, or to mingle with anything resembling a herd of their own species--a psychological requirement for obvious reasons).
Nope. These so-called beauties are forever condemned to multi-million dollar, climate controlled stalls... Perhaps, if lucky, a small pasture with real green grass to eat while their cells are mucked out... And, this is it's life, until it's not-- just like racing thoroughbreds who can't run a few seconds faster...
A skinny curvy top neck that must be stretched and pulled during horse shows -- to show how far their neck can be stretched and pulled...
Skinny legs lacking the muscles that made them famous for centuries... Small colt sized hooves that couldn't support the weight of a normal man, and would sink immediately in sand...
And, tails standing tall, flowing in the wind, except humans manipulated the tails to do that... Ointment applied that burns when the sensitive underside of the tail makes contact if not held high enough... Just as the ears have had tendons cut to keep them from laying back, and forever appearing alert.
Is that ALL these multi-million dollar "star" animals can do now is trot, prance this way and that way, around it's groom with flying tails, looking alert and happy with oiled and shinny coats, without evidence of ever being bitten by those deadly desert HORSEflies or God forbid, a mosquito??
For those animals, who command such a high price for looks, that will inevitably be their doom...
Give me, any day of the week, a good sound horse that's half "Arabian Of Old," and I'll show you a happy, content, and well adjusted team of a horse and it's human.

It was nice to see that some were proud to show off their mares. So many of these videos seem to feature stallions only which is wrong. The original Arab breeders always thought the mares were more important and in fact the strain names follow the mare bloodlines, not the stallions. The only one I have to query was the horse at the 08:00 mark. The head was so extreme as to be ludicrous. That horse would undoubtedly have breathing issues under stress.

Poor selectively bred freaks. These are mere caricatures of carefully, responsibly bred Arabian horses. These horses are a bundle of nerves and their faces are positively grotesque. Their tails stick up over their backs due to human mutilation.

    • @allysondoerfler8688

You can do that with half-Arabs, but purebred must remain pure.

    • @narrowistheway77
      @narrowistheway77 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@jamieleasure9067 That is patently false, the only issue inherent to the Cremello gene is the possibility of an easy sunburn, anything else is coming from the genetic lines of the horse itself and has nothing to do with the Cremello gene being present. You’re thinking of the white gene, that’s not the same thing at all

@@allysondoerfler8688 I’ve seen a 90% Cremello Egyptian Arabian back cross, but yeah, I’m just talking in a dream world here where the gene was already present in their pure blood hahaha

On they love to show off, be goofy, have huge personalities and also the owners are asking them to move which makes them react that way. Edit to add stallions though are a different being. Tell a gelding, ask a mare, and discuss with a stallion. Holds very true. Stallions of any breed are fucking nuts, so much testosterone rushing through their brains they react more then think.

Hässliche Köpfe, Schlangenhälse, extrem hochgezüchtete Schweifrüben, kaum Gang und vor allem: schlechte, Charaktere. An denen ist nichts mehr schön. Was macht der Mensch mit den Kreaturen?
