My favorite part of this series so far is Arin being sensible with prices and wanting to give his customers good deals and than immediately following them out of the store screaming when he doesn't have cheese stocked
I love that, typically, Arin is the "frantic" one and Dan is the "sensible" one. But in certain series, Dan takes a random left turn and wants Arin to mess it all up. The learning driving simulator or the semi truck simulator games comes to mind -- Arin is doing his best to follow all the laws, and suddenly Dan is saying, "Ram them."
Guys please keep this series going, I need to see Arin’s transformation from a small supermarket owner to a corrupt multimillionaire owner of a large corporation
In Arins defense, I just watched him play two episodes of this, immediately downloaded it myself, and now I can't put it down. If it was my job to play games? Oh boy people would be seeing HOURS of me frantically running a grocery store.
the funniest thing is my dad owns a store like this and he literally is Arin just running around like a madman 🤣🤣🤣 i showed him and my mom these videos and they laughed so hard
I can’t even fully put my finger on why I love watching this series. I think maybe it’s monotonous enough to let them drift in to weird conversations but frantic enough to make Arin scream. All the while they are clearly enjoying it.
I would love if this series was a reoccurring series that got like an episode a week or something, the calm to chaos to back to calm is really fun to watch

technically what dan called defined "anthropomorphism" as is actually "personification". Anthropomorphism is making a non-human thing physically appear to be humanoid (walking on two legs, using hands as hands, just generally looking human shaped). Personification is when you apply human characteristics like thoughts and emotions to a non-human thing, which is what dan described
it's actually kinda contextual! generally it's in art or media spaces in my personal experience i see the definitions you use used, and so you're correct there. but in animal welfare spaces, anthropomorphizing an animal is basically the same as applying human feelings and thoughts to it, usually brought up when discussing the needs of nonhuman animals that differ from humans. so technically, Dan's definition is correct. it's just used differently sometimes. thank you for reading my pedantic and annoying message if you did 👍🏼
Just imagining a store owner pacing and circling his checkout line while rambling on about taking out loans to pay off loans is the funniest thing to me.
My kiddo watching this over my shoulder and was SO invested in the fact that there was no cheese, and threw his arms up to celebrate when you bought said cheese. And now 8 minutes in we’re still talking cheese and this boy (who will eat mozzarella out of the bag by the fistfuls) seems to have suddenly fallen in love with the grumps
Tbh, i really dont think many of us long time lovlies care about Content™... if you two are legit having fun and the energy is good it truly doesn't matter what you're playing, its always a treat to watch and listen 💕 with that said, Ive enjoyed this series immensely so far & I really hope you do more of these!

I gotta say, of all the recent normal-job simulator games, this is probably the most engaging one (probably to play, definitely to watch). I can't believe how engaging it is. How Arin and Dan are able to make any conversation going with so much action going on and Arin freaking out is beyond me. It's one of those games that feel scientifically formulated to be played on Game Grumps

I was at work earlier, sweating profusely from a hard day of unexpected work dumped onto my plate. Exasperated, i reached into my pocket to check my phone, and there it was, my beacon of hope: SUPERMARKET SIMULATOR EPISODE 3. My mood quickly brightened as I realized this meant after work i would be able to relax at home and watch one of the greatest series the Grumps have ever done. As I watched this episode, I realized that Dan fully intended to halt the beautiful progress made in this truly incredible viewing experience, so briskly I packed food for a couple of days and loaded up some water to get my journey of 3,000 miles started. I am going to cross the country, find the Grumps studio and ensure this series continues by dressing up as a furry to distract Dan and remind Arin that this game exists. "I think I liked it" summarizes SO many comic books and webcomics I read as a kid. The truth is, I just poured through anything that was drawn. I read entire books of Garfield or Beetle Bailey from start to end without making as much as smirk, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Dan, let the man play supermarket simulator for as long as he wants. Trust me we're all balls deep and passionate about it with him. I wanna see him be the conscientious yet anxiety-ridden shopowner of his dreams
I see now why Arin kept saying "F you Jim. Get outta my store Jim. Always buying my Reese's Pieces. Buying up all my starburst. That's my best selling product. Starburst is the hardest to restock. Gotta call up the company directly", during his and Dan's starbomb recording session 😂😂😂
You don't need to play this continuously in one sitting. HOWEVER, this could easily become a recurring series where it pops up in our feeds every now and again.
See, I played this game EXACTLY like Arin at first, too. I then learned that making the selling price the same as market price actually dramatically increases how much I made. I hate it for the reasons Arin does, but man it helps profits.

Arin freaking out behind a register is becoming my favorite Game Grumps pattern. It started with the anxious Skeletor barista and now we’re yelling in a grocery store about cheese
As the food cost manager at my job, the one mechanic I wish was in the game was FIFO. Cause everytime Arin puts new product in front of the old, a part of my brain twitches
As a recently diagnosed 37 year old with ADHD i can confidently tell you that undiagnosed ADHD is like playing life on hard mode. It definitely is a disorder as the frontal part of your brain doesn't reward you with dopamine where a neurotypical person's would... which makes things like remembering important things and impulse control a nightmare. People like to think of it as a funny or glamorous condition, but it's real, and it's hard being normal in a world that isn't designed for you. I can’t remember off the top of my head what the biggest difference is between ADD and ADHD (I was diagnosed with the former many times), but I definitely get the thing Arin does where my brain will queue up what people say and I’ll look to them and say “What did you say?” typically after I have finished saying something else. And then my brain just clicks and I realize what they said was words and not mumbled nonsense, which is what I thought I heard. And then I’ll answer them before they repeat themselves. Or I just forget the entire conversation instantly right in the middle and won’t be able to remember for several minutes or it’s gone forever 😂
@velfaern1716 My psychiatrist told me ADD is just the outdated term for ADHD. The H stands for hyperactive, which manifests itself in different ways for each of us. I'm new to all of this and learning it as i go. I recommend watching Dr. K's videos on the subject. He seems well-informed. (healthygamergg oslt)
@velfaern1716 by name, hyperactivity is the difference, although in some countries both terms are beginning to combine while on others hyperactivity is still the difference Edit: I just checked the DSM V and it enlists ADHD I also have ADD diagnosed so I understand Arin completely too. I am a mexican psychologist, in here for official diagnosis we use DSM V (so ADHD based) but can also point out ADD symptoms
This is a dumb thing to point out but at 6:30, in WHAT scenario would a customer give you $8 when it's only $7 total?? There's no combination of bills that would've forced him to give you 8 dollars instead of 7. Is he carrying all $2 bills?? Okay I'm over it.

I'd love to see this series keep going! Watching Arin panic over sales prices and chasing and yelling after paying customers with Dan consistently commenting, "Geez, take it easy man," when Arin will not, in fact, take it easy. It's both comforting and hilarious! Haven't laughed at a TH-cam video like this in a while.
This is literally the best thing ever, it is currently 1130 at night, and I have work at five in the morning, but I do not give a shit, this series is too good.
….The D in ADHD literally stands for Disorder X) That is the definition of neurodivergent.
@velfaern1716 by name, hyperactivity is the difference, although in some countries both terms are beginning to combine while on others hyperactivity is still the difference
Edit: I just checked the DSM V and it enlists ADHD
I also have ADD diagnosed so I understand Arin completely too.
I work retail, people definitely do that shit.
Im on my knees begging for this to be a series
20:16 that’s me Dan. I don’t have that luxury lol but please keep making the grocery store simulator! It’s keeping me sane!
"I'm gay for cheese" is an insane thing to say and I love it
Please never stop, this is my favorite series since Danganronpa
You might be pleasantly surprised one weekend soon.
@@gettingintrospectiveplease dont tease me like this
@kirillsniff9133 they announced they're playing 3
@@CARDSSerus where and when did you see this?? im so excited
@@kirillsniff9133 At the end of their Ace Attorney 2 playthrough they said that Danganronpa 3 would be their next long series starting mid-July. They also mentioned it in either the first or second episode of their current Resident Evil 8 playthrough that RE8 was going to be their shorter series intermission for long series weekend before their really long D3 series starts.
Just trying to add another comment to ask for y’all to continue this series!!! There is something about it that is so much fun to watch and I’m even buying the game now. Don’t stop playing this one!!
I hope they continue this because Arin will eventually turn into that crazy store clerk from dead rising.
CLEAN UP REGISTER 6!
The idea of a business making decisions based only on whether they are funny or not cracks me up so much. I love these two goobers.
I need more of this play through for SURE. The perfect blend of calming and absolute comedy - I wanna see Arin’s Supermarket thrive!!
Please make this a 500 episode series. I love this series SO much.
The image of store owner Arin throwing boxes to the floor and then tripping on them as he rushes back to the register while ranting about people buying up all his cheese makes me lose my shit.
I mean this with complete and utter sincerity. This is my absolute favorite series and I hope it never ends
I love how Dan keeps saying “can we do another episode” meanwhile 23 episodes and 6 months later they’re still going strong
PLEASE play more. I love this series, and if you stop... I'll have to resort to drastic measures.
I'm not gonna restock the cheese.
So glad they’re continuing this! Time for some more bad business management
Can't concentrate, too thirsty, must watch Game Grumps and do laundry
Edit: moment of clarity, knew they'd do a third, happy they did.... Have a good one, everybody
13:55 at the right edge of the screen it displays all the changed market prices of your products, so you don't have to play spot the difference when you eventually get a mega store.
Edit: You can also see it in the buy menu.
If this series goes on, it will be a great source of Game Grumps animations.
I like the part where Arin kept talking about un-taxable loan money for a long time
Please keep playing this, maybe make it a couple of times a month or once a month. I'd love to see how far you boys can take this.
please continue this series, it’s super addicting to watch.
I am so nervous that Dan is going to shut this playthrough down. No fun police! There is only Supermarket Simulator!
Please keep going with this! I wanna see them actually expand and take care of the store. And of course hear Arin scream about cheese prices.
I need at least 18 more episodes of this series. They were so excited when they upgraded their store.
33:44 That cursor mindlessly trailing to the top of the screen is giving me "OHHHH NOOOOO!!" flashbacks.
I VOTE FOR SUPERMARKET SATURDAYS/SUNDAYS 😂
Never stop playing these simulator games, too hilarious to watch
Supermarket Sunday! Dan does love American Football… does that count as a pun? 😂
they already have a weekend game, re8
This is literally the best thing ever, it is currently 1130 at night, and I have work at five in the morning, but I do not give a shit, this series is too good.
Arin one moment... "Thanks for buying that ONE water bottle."
5 seconds later... "F@CK YOU JIM!! COMING IN HERE, BUYING UP ALL MY REESE'S PIECES!!"
I love this series. Arins rage makes me much more comfortable to go to work at a grocery store. Because at least i dont have to run the store
Yay part 3!!!!! ❤❤❤❤ I'm really enjoying watching these while chilling or cleaning 🥺
Milk & Cheese was an awesome comic. "I'm a carton of hate!" "I'm a wedge of spite!" "BRICKS FOR POPCORN!" (throws brick at cashier)
As someone who works in a grocery store that’s very keen on customer service, the constant screaming at customers in this absolutely kills me XD
“I think you might be a moodier person than me.” -Not So Grump to Grump a decade into their show
PLEASE, don’t end this series!!
I hope this series continues, we need to see the storage room>
….The D in ADHD literally stands for Disorder X) That is the definition of neurodivergent. The divergent thing about your brain is that you don’t process enough dopamine like a neurotypical brain does. No reason to stigmatize it just because it’s technically a mental illness; we don’t stigmatize other illnesses. Source: Am diagnosed with several mental illnesses and don’t mind calling them what they are. Doesn’t diminish me or anyone else. Now you know!
28:22 someone tell Arin about seis leches
I really want to know where Arin got the idea that you can use loan money for anything you want with absolutely zero tax implications.
Man do I ever hope this isn't the end, I want to see so much more of this!
I NEVER comment so understand how eager I am for this series to continue! Please keep going grumps!!
This is becoming a beloved series, hope they decide to continue it
I bought and tried a whole tres leches cake from Publix just because Arin hyped it up so much, and honestly, it's pretty great. And if you put it in the freezer for an hour or so, it's almost exactly like ice cream cake, pretty damn good.
“Cuatro leches” got me dying of laughter so damn hard, it’s the same exact reaction me and my bf would have too
