And the Viking he was. Rest easy
Deadlifting in Valhallah now.
And rowing.
Oui...Deadlift..Rowing and all the fish for eternity@ RIP Jon Pall
An absolute legend. I remember him doing the truck pull once and his rope snapped and he fell forward, got up and roared, "Too much POWER!!".
That's Icelandic for "If I slapped you, you'd be dead."
heh
😂
One word to describe him, legend.
A Chad among Chads
@@sadsackkvisling9694 I see what you DID THERE, SNL reference. Oookay! 😏
One word to describe him, eskimo.
Viking
@@TheRealTomahawk I stand corrected, sir.
Jon Pall always made the events more enjoyable to watch.
of....ICELAND!.....May you rest in peace VIKING WARRIOR!!!!
E VC E UMA GATA!
Oui RIP Jon Pall
Magnificent fkkn' beast.
He wasn't wrong either.
Used to love watching this show as a kid. Sigmarsson's constant battles with Geoff Capes were the Golden years of strongman. Was a sad day when he passed away too young.
Jon Pall Sigmarsson is hands down my favorite strongman of all time, specially since he had so much charisma and was the first in the competition to win 4 titles. I consider him the GOAT of strongmen
Love his attitude being the strongest man and being humble that’s the sign of a great human
Man i love this guy!! Icelandic viking power!!!! Rest in peace warrior...
Most memorable quote in WSM history.
"Dette er ekkert mal, fyr Jon Pall"
This is no haul, for Jon Pall.
It's a phrase still used in Iceland today.
PS: I wrote it in Icelandic with Norwegian letters, so excuse me for that but Icelanders will understand.
@@OriginalPuro þetta er ekkert mál fyrir Jón Pál
awesome viking and a funny man to boot.
I like how he says "OF ICELAND!" and gives a not of his head, like "this is all you need to know".
Such a great strongman and funny to! He is the GOAT! Iceland will never again have a guy like Jon
That’s such an amazing statement. I can see or imagine a scenario where Vikings arrive on shore and they’re pulling their boats up and someone yells Eskimo!? and then Voice replies “I’m not an Eskimo I’m a Viking” back. That would be very scary. It also puts into perspective how strong they are. Think of the difference between an Eskimo and a Viking. The differences are huge. Vikings are Warriors there, maritime traders, Raiders, and they were extremely strong. You have to be strong to live in south of the north pole. and although they lived in the snow, they were nothing like the Eskimo, who were simply nomads who lived out in there kind of like the arctic desert, and they don’t war they don’t build ships to go to war into other countries. But the Vikings do and they did for a long time.
Classic 😁.
Great guy. Lots of fun.
Sadly gone too soon.
My personal "Of Icealnd!" button : 00:08

Hi guys, Ben here. Just wanted to say that I loved this video!!! I was a big fan of the part where he lifted the old timey cart and the old man in the hat clapped - riveting stuff! I will certainly be showing this to my three beautiful golden retrievers 🐕 See you next Tuesday!

That dude that dear to call him Eskimo while Jon was clearly demostrating fiscial superiority was the bravest man on 1985... also the stupidest
But he didn't even have a beard

Una auténtica bestia.. Con una personalidad terrible. Nos dejó muy joven. I am a wiking .
Geoff capes couldn’t match him even
So this is Hitler's Aryan?
Charles Morris, Isaac Taylor, Joseph Widney, Laurence Waddell, Madison Grant and many others used the term to describe Europeans long before Hitler. The Scythians and Zoroastrians (whom heavily influenced Rome - see Mithras) are also considered part of this group. The language we call "proto-indo-European" includes the "indo" part because its branches share the same root.
Arya is the Sanskrit word for noble.
According to Buddha, the noble people are that because of their thoughts and actions. Not because of where they are born or colour of hair etc..
And I agree with that, having seen good and bad people in all races.
@Ve-suvius That's just one connotation, but yea, that's pretty much where the "honorary aryN" concept came from.
Tall eskimo slush puppy
495kg deadlift in 1985? How long did he hold that record? Thor just did 501kg in 2020 and is way bulkier.
Dude thats a different record whag thor did was deadlift with straps suit and deadliftbar stupid
@@brianeefting1775 It's functionally the same lift, is it not?
I know but its an different record
I wish Thor had the same mindset as his fellow icelandic collegue
@@GhostSamaritan it's very different, but the main difference is the (very) reduced range of motion of this older lifts
Eskimo 😅
Jesus Christ is Lord God of all! God bless you all! Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is too difficult for the Lord our God, with Christ, ALL things are possible!
