Keep it up Kitty. I was in an accident at 18 back in 97 and became a t-5 complete para. Attitude is so key. I got into adaptive sports, travelled all over, and lived life. There is life after sci. Stay blessed and be well.
Absolutely amazing. As a dancer myself, I always want people to know that anyone can do anything and you can dance with any body you have. Work what you got and even with time, your body tones up and gains muscle memory. Then something you think you couldn't do a month ago, is all coming together. Thank you for sharing this and i hope this continues and grows everywhere.
So very inspiring! As I've become disabled. I've lost more & more of my life to it, but I want more out of this life, than I have presently. I was a model, actress, dancer, singer song writer, Now I'm struggling to do daily everyday things. But I Want More! That I work on everyday! Sending Positive vibes your way! Oh my goodness! What beautiful dancer! It seems like she uses the chair to her advantage in dance, instead of it getting in the way. She's so graceful and love that plucky spirit! It's sad that her injury kept her from her Broadway debut; I'm blown away by her persistence and her realistic, positive view of life. 💙💙💙
I’m legally blind myself and I do take ballet in a normal class in college, I’ve never seen anyone doing ballet with a cane before, and it made me smile
Beautiful dancer. I love you 🕊 I have always danced on the inside, but never learned how to be graceful on the outward.... would absolutely love to have you as my teacher. My new friend "Jhe" just helped me discover you.... I am in Astoria, New York not sure what state you're at but I will get all that I can from these videos. God bless you.

I know I'm going to sound ignorant and I apologise in advance, but how is she standing and getting out of her chair when she's paralysed from the waist down? I'd just like someone to explain please, I don't mean any offense.
Spinal cord injury affects people differently depending on the level of injury (neck, back leading from Cervical, Thoracic, lumbar and sacral) and also the damage caused to the spinal cord whether that was a complete injury or an incomplete injury. In this woman's case, she may be regarded as an "incomplete paraplegic", meaning that she broke her back around the waist area, but the damage to her spinal cord was not so severe so as to completely cut off ALL movement and sensation below that. Everyone with a spinal cord injury (even those injured at the same level in their spinal cord) have different physical limitations on their body as a result. Fo example, I am injured 'complete' at my neck, so I am unable to move anything from my chest down, and have limited movement I parts of my arms and hands. Someone injured 'incomplete' at the neck might be able to move one leg, or wiggle the fingers on one hand, or even stand up and walk a little bit. It all depends on the severity of the injury and what parts of your body at paralysed as a result. I hope this helps you to understand a bit better. Thanks for asking these questions so others can understand spinal cord injury better :)
Death Blossom most people with spinal cord injury drive with hand controls, which is usually a push/pull lever which operates the accelerator and brake on an automatic car. Hope this helps
There is nothing elegant about a big, ugly, metal wheelchair. She could have a special performance wheelchair made that is more transparent and with smaller wheels that would show her and any ability she has better. Right now she is showing the stodginess of the wheelchair, not any talent of hers. It's like trying to portray the elegance of a jaguar enclosed inside a highway pavement extruding machine.
Every now and then you get reminded how powerful peoples stories can be.
Wow she moves so fluidly and beautifully.
Do not worry, one or more of your students will continue your legacy! This is living, thank You!
Once a dancer, always a dancer. It never leaves you- regardless of what happens to your body as the years go by.....Bravo Kitty!
Beautiful. There's nothing better than music and dancing. All dance. Heart.

I love the truth and acceptance that she has. It’s what keeps her going in my opinion. Bless!
We admire her passion!

Man if I was paralyzed, I'd get so scared and tell everyone to break my bone and make them move.
Nothing is impossible

Déna Jansen I thought the same thing
