    Wow you guys have a lot of trees out there. People out west have no idea how thick the woods can be until we go east. We have the big trees and Tahoe and the sierra mountain range which has beautiful forests but they are not what I would call “thick” with trees. When I retire we will explore the east for sure.

      There is some great trail systems here in Kentucky. Seems like some of the better views are closer to the Appalachian mountains, in the far eastern part of the state.

      Tahoe is gorgeous too! Just not sure if there are many places to ride out there without all the tree huggers and the pot growers coming after you. If you can think of a spot please share it. I’ll do the same. I’ve gotten 3 desert rides in. All 3 in close proximity. Moon Rocks, The Microwave Tower, & Vista Trail to view the Beautiful Pyramid Lake.

    Super ATV Atlas arms stage 3 elka shocks and 32" tires and the bed lift. My list keeps going. Had the clutch sheaves explode on a winter trip, and Kawi covered all the repairs. This thing has been amazing and predictable!!

    been running a set of 30x10x14's on my 22 4S for almost 2k miles and yet to find any issues. Love this dang goat!!! Took it hunting last year, and have been all over the State of Arizona, and every type of terrain there is. Still bone stock minus wheels and tires now has 2600 miles!!! Looks like yours for the most part!!!

      best upgrades done to mine, Throttle max, and a set of full coverage MUD GUARDS, cant remember the ones i have on there now, but the first set threw mud straight up and back in our faces!! Mudbusters were the first set, i wanna say these came from Super ATV!!!

      30’s will be what I go with next. I’d like to get a clutch as well when I do that.
      Yea mines mostly stock besides lights and such, no real performance upgrades besides tires.

    Kawasaki's climb like a billy goat! Every time the wife and I ride our KRX we are amazed at its capability.
    We are from central Ky. Wildcat and Windrock our two favorites.

    Really good video. I enjoyed seeing what the Teryx could do. I think you put her through its paces very well. I'm looking at the Teryx really hard. I have a kawasaki motorcycle and love it. I think the Teryx would be a really good machine.

    • @DarkHollow26
      @DarkHollow26  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s as tough and reliable machine as they make. As far as speed it doesn’t have much but not something I’m really interested in.

    Looking forward to getting some 28x10 Carnivores on my 21Teryx LE before we head to the Spearhead trails in Virginia after Christmas! They may only do 50 but they have plenty of power at low speeds!

      I believe you will be happy with them. I live in the Appalachian Mountains and they do great here in the steep rocky terrain. I’ve got over 700 miles on mine and about 30% is asphalt driving and still not much wear.

    • @scotthooper4170
      @scotthooper4170 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DarkHollow26Thank you. That is really good to know. I’m going to wear these stock ones for a little bit. This is brand new, just bought in May 23. And I’m just coming up on the break in point (20/200). I’m going to take it in for the first service. I am going to look into some “Colored” lights as well. It sounds like (and appears to these old eyes of mine) that in this desert terrain the I need to be able to define depth at night.

    During the summer I just remove my windshield and that takes care of the heat.

    Have you noticed much change in ride quality since you adjusted your suspension to make the tires more square and remove the toeing for better tire wear? Got out 24 S LE last month i want to adjust mine to save the uneven wear on the tires. just cant find a good review!

    • @DarkHollow26
      @DarkHollow26  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t noticed any difference in the ride quality at all. But I have noticed now, the camber is back in the front. I’m assuming just fatigue in the shocks where I have 3000 miles now. My next step is 1.5” lift which I’m sure will take a lot out but I’d say it may stiffen up suspension too.

    Grate video. What’s your opinion on the talon vs the teryx I’m looking into getting one of those two. Thank you.

    • @DarkHollow26
      @DarkHollow26  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Overall machine I would say the Talon. The ride is over all smoother and a lot more power. Biggest downfalls is price and size. Some the best selling points to me on Teryx is durable, size, and price. The downfalls of my year model is heat, sound, and underpowered compared to most SXS.

    • @scotthooper4170
      @scotthooper4170 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know you didn’t ask my opinion, and this is a year old, so you may have made your purchase already. But, here is a point to consider. The Honda talon (several models to choose from) (especially in width and suspension options) definitely has more power. As well as a different transmission. But, the price might be two things to consider. One paying more for the ride (to definitely go faster than the Teryx’s 50 miles an hour). But, the Teryx’s lower entry level will get you into riding, and let you get your feet wet (maybe literally). But, here might be the key & the most important part of your journey into Side by Sides. The Teryx will be easier to sell if nothing else, because of the lower price point. They probably both hold their value equally. But again on the secondary market, people are usually looking because they cannot afford a new one. Just a thought, I hope that helps, and most of all enjoy your riding. But remember to stay safe. A little planning with first aid, tools, hydration, & snacks, can make a mechanical challenge fun & memorable.

    What size tires and rims and did you need spacers I have a 2019 stock tires and 12” wheels

    • @DarkHollow26
      @DarkHollow26  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the S model so no spacers were needed to make the tires fit. I went with a 14” Tusk wheel with 4x3 offset. Due to all the wheels being the same offset, I had to use 1” spacers on the rear to keep the front and rear the same width. The tires are Maxxis Carnivores 28x10x14.

    The only thing I have against the Teryx is getting to the belt. If the belt breaks on the trail you are done, and I ride by myself most of the time.

    • @dgarcia5555
      @dgarcia5555 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Belt gives u at least 2000 miles

    • @scotthooper4170
      @scotthooper4170 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was going to ask how often you would have to replace the belt? So replacing it every 1500 miles would be a good idea?
