อาซาเซล หนึ่งในเทวดาตกสววรค์ ปรากฏชื่อในคำภีร์ไบเบิล คัมภีร์กุรอ่าน และหนังสือเอนอช-Book of Enoch ซึ่งมีชื่อเสียงมากพอสมควร เป็นผู้มีศักดิ์รองจากลูซิเฟอร์เป็นหัวหน้าของเหล่าผู้ทักษ์แห่งแดนนรก และเป็นหัวหน้าของเหล่าเซรัฟ-Serpah ที่ตกสวรรค์ และถือเป็นบรรพบุรุษของเนฟิลิม-Nephilim อีกด้วย
โดยในส่วนว่าทำไมอาซาเซลถึงตกสวรรค์นั้น มีเรื่องเล่าว่า ครั้งหนึ่งอาซาเซลได้นำความลับของแดนสวรรค์ไปบอกแก่มนุษย์ และนำมาพาบาปต่างๆมายังโลก
