Zach should love tsukimichi. It literally inspired some of the shows he’s already watched. The web novel and then light novels were awesome. I haven’t checked out the manga adaptation yet, but I hope this one makes the cut. But if not, all 3 shows are good in their own ways.
Manga adaptation definitely worth the read. Plot points and point of view may be different considering each adaptation has its own “twist” to the story
We sure know the Hajime no Ippo reference, I'm from the Philippines. Whenever Manny Pacquiao has an incoming fight, this show is aired at our local TV station... every single time.
Zach you got yourself into a conundrum here. You have pitted two heavy weight MMA fighters vs a laid back chill guy, who does not like having to fight, in these three anime. I will put it this way, I think the looser is going to be my farming life in another world and even if it does loose... I still highly recommend watching it as I think you will love it and towards the end it really gets heart warming in the Spice and Wolf kind of way.
Zach...you gonna love this anime...the trash goddess are the worst but we can accept her behaviour... As for Kuzunoha (mc)...I think he was giving a little bit of Tsukuyomi's fragments of his powers....isn't that make our mc part of god or demi-god?

Tsukimichi is a very fun show with good world building like Slime, but I think Tsukimichi has a better cast because it did not get overpopulated with so many inner-circle characters like Slime did.
I surprised it took this long for you to check out this series considering you're likes. This show has some premium waifus and is very funny throughout. Hopefully it wins out so that we can see your reaction to season 2 and the upcoming season 3.

I never understood the premise of him being "ugly". I don't see it. Ordinary, sure, but not anywhere near ugly. I guess not looking like most anime teenage male protagonists means you are ugly.
It's practically to do with the standards of that World. Every Hyuman in that World is practically like a Supermodel or higher level in terms of physical beauty (there are reasons for that, which isn't mentioned until quite later). So, an average looking guy like Makoto would look ugly to them.

"Danmachi" is a long running series with five Seasons already (S1-S4 is 59 episodes + 3 OVA's, ongoing S5 is 15 episodes), while "TsukiMichi" has two Seasons (37 episodes) so far with 3rd Season confirmed as well. If you want to enjoy Booba's, then "TsukiMichi" and probably (as haven't seen it yet) "Danmachi" are the options.
