    ⚠️SPOILER WARNING⚠️
I’ve said this before, but I love the foreshadowing in Omori. The way that Omori is scared of heights and stairs is like a physical manifestation of Sunny’s lasting trauma from the accident with Mari. It makes sense why he has an aversion to those things because Omori is a representation of his subconscious, and his subconscious still correlates heights/stairs with Mari’s death. It’s so well done.

The first Something is a beautiful trick of the game.
Heights is the first fear you have to conquer, early in the game when you're still confused about everything. When you don't have the clues to make any real association.
The shadows and the Something are explicitly associated with hands.
Spiders and drowning have much more obvious symbols to represent them, but for some reason heights is associated with hands.
Something shoves Sunny, Something taunts Sunny as he falls, and it's never clear why, not until the very end.

I've lost so much in 2021, it's taken me half a year to get over losing one of the best friends I've ever had; and so much more beyond that. I've had to go through it all with little to no help and no therapy either. I'm getting into psychology studies so I can help as many people as possible who were just like me, who feel like they lost everything and will never have anything ever again. here is a tip for people in a depressive state: they won't see a happy future what so ever, you have to focus on the present with them and instead of saying "there are better days ahead of you" just take life one step at a time with them. like everything, it's a process so be patient with them and they will be patient with you.

when I first started this video I thought I wasn't gonna enjoy it, it was just gonna be another game about depression. But soon after I think the first hour I was already loving it. It was so much more than any other game, I soon completely forgot about making jokes and fun of it. I was loving it, and I think even if watching a video about the game makes me feel like this. It is truly a good game, I just got it and even after watching it I want to play it. This game is truly one of the best I have to think.

Damn dude, for the longest time I've wanted a creator I watch to play Omori, because I know I wouldn't have time to appreciate it properly playing myself, but can put a let's play as background noise and easily go back if I miss anything important. I recently got recommended Merg's playthrough which I'm partway through now, and then this comes up. I'm torn now, do I watch this shortened version now from a creator I'm more familiar with, or finish the 30+ hour one with a creator I didn't know but am now enjoying, first?

Nice, when I first played Omori I didn't think much of it. It quickly caught me with the mystery, humor and especially the hanged man game which only fuel'd my curiosity. By the last two hours of the game I was in tears trough all 120 minutes as well as after the ending to which my response was just sitting and staring as the credits rolled, music played and I was left in a bitter sweet state, same feeling I had at the end of my favorite show. I highly recommend playing the game for Yourself, but I guess experiencing it with your favorite creator doesn't miss the mark by far.
    **SPOILERS**
I got the good ending, Basil and Sunny survived, I confessed to Aubrey, Kel and Hero what happened with Mari, and freed myself as well as Basil of the guilt that lurked and followed us in the shadows trough the entire game. It also somewhat made me feel better as I saw a flower growing on the stump of that cut down tree. I don't have a favorite game of all time, there are those that I treasure with all my heart and those which were fun but haven't made that much of an impact on me... Omori was and will always be in my treasured memories.

the fact that you used the Lost Library song in the intro sequence absolutely broke me, it's my personal favorite out of all of the bangers in OMORI's ost. needless to say i was strapped in for a wild ride from the very beginning. reliving the story a second time was well worth the watch time (admittedly i did skip a bit), and tears were definitely spilled during the Duet. for me, i saw a lot of my own mental state & struggles in Sunny and from the very start was in love with the game and its story. it was a bad hurt during the streams and still hurts watching it again, but in a way it reminds me that at the very minimum: i have acknowledged my problems and am persisting in an effort to fix them. out of all of the streams i've caught in the past 3-ish years, i strongly agree with Carson that this was definitely an unforgettable experience.

Omori is one of the greatest games of all time. If you have ANY thoughts about playing it, do NOT watch anything to spoil it for yourself.
For those of you that are on the fence because of the horror aspects, there are jumpscares but they are generally visual and less audio-based, which for an absolute pussy like me was a very nice change of pace. (Mind you there are still slight audio jumpscares.)
The meaning and ending to this game is something that I'll remember forever. It's a genuinely incredible game, is well written, has great music and an interesting battle mechanic. I literally cannot recommend this game enough if you're a fan of Undertale or Earthbound. 13/10 game.

    MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!
Many people say that Sunny would still feel guilty, even after confessing. I don't think that is true. He faced everything terrible about himself, and then looked at everything good and right. He took strength from every happy moment and every little blessing, he was judging himself. He was finally faced with the only thing standing between him and the rest of his life, a self-created Satin, Omori.
Omori is every condemning thought, the prosecutor in Sunny's self-inflicted trial. Like the devil, Omori screams: "You don't deserve happiness. You belong to me." while his friends call out, asking him to forgive himself. God is not our Judge, we fill that role ourselves. Sunny's case is comparing every good thing and every bad thing, and asking Sunny if the good really outweighs the bad. This is the turning point, whatever sentence is given is final. Sunny will either live in Hell for eternity, or it would have been Heaven from the start.
There is no guilt anymore. By getting the true ending, Sunny is forgiven not by his friends, but by himself. Regardless of what follows, Sunny is free of guilt. Sunny has lived in heaven the whole time. Now that the fog of Hell is cleared, it cannot touch him in that way again. Heaven is all that is real and true, and Hell is anything that stops us from wanting it.
The bad ending is the latter, Sunny decides that he cannot be forgiven. If sunny cannot be forgiven, then what is the point of staying anymore?
This comes from personal experience. On the brink of depression, I was faced with a question: "Do I deserve to be forgiven?" Like Sunny, the only way I could answer was by judging myself. I faced my own personal demons, as they battered me with every wrongdoing. True or not, each of them had a lie buried deep within. I won (obviously), and now the source of my guilt is gone forever. Those lies will never work again. It is not easy to face yourself in everything. However, it is the only way I could be free. It took SIX YEARS to get that answer. It probably would have taken much longer if I didn't have such a good therapist. (GET THERAPY PLEASE I BEG YOU)
What I went through is nothing like what Sunny faced. I hope you understand why I think the way I do. My answer remains: Sunny is free from guilt because Omori is dead.

I got through about halfway through this video and honestly I just decided fuck it I'm gonna buy and play the game. I just beat it tonight, what an absolute masterpiece of media.
