  • Australian Army Infantry The Truth is a overview of the qualities and the stoic requirements to serve within the Australian Army Infantry the Royal Australian Regiment and the School of Infantry that is the home of the training of the Infantry soldier and its specialist courses as well as promotion courses and the Infantry Regimental Officers Basic Course.
The video presentation is called the Truth as it does not gloss over the current watered down nerf version of recruiting ads on main stream ads for the Australian Defence Force the ADF.
The Royal Australian Regiment is one of one and we need more to be honest and this is a way as an Australian Infantry Veteran I can do my bit to welcome the next generation of capable, brave and resourceful young adults to try a career of adventure and mate ship as well as sacrifice of luxuries such as warmth, comfort and safety.
Create a legacy and see all that you can be within the Royal Australian Regiment Ecn 343.

Nice one. Good video of a lot of the current equipment and the boys out training for war.
I LOVED my time in the Regiment 83-85, and Reserve Inf 86-2002. Hey mate, im 15 years old who is physically and mentally fit for the role of an infantry soldier. Ive done some research on the role, and it mentions passes in english and mathematics. Im not the academic type, my english scores are fine but ive failed almost all my math exams in the past 2 years and it is worrying me. Is there any advice you can give me on this? Australian Army is not wavering on minimum educational standards mate and you still have plenty of time with 2-3 years before your able to enlist if year ten results are a wash then you need to make year 11-12 a life mission to listen, learn and apply yourself..

Then when required uppingthe training and getting them ready for deployment with the regulars. I was lucky that part of the unit was regular army , SGTs WO1s and officers who had been around the block and told me the stories of their deployments. @@Nicole-jl7it unless it has changed in the last few years, your pack will be a minimum of 20kg for a field ex. Can be more if they throw a radio, extra ammo or a 66 at you. Thats not including body armour, your webbing and ammo, and your weapon. Of course, you certainly will work up to that through kapooka and singo. Then you'll be humping all that shit up and down mountains for klicks on end. Also, you gotta have the strength to fight at the end of all that. Grunt life. Women in combats roles wasnt a thing in my day (they were thinking about it), and although I'm against the principle of it (for many many reasons), I know its not impossible for a woman to cut it.
