My goodness hearing and seeing the moose that close would make me stay awake all night. And here is Chuck out there throwing sticks, geez, yikes. So brave!!! I'm glad the rest of the day was uneventful, and you had a great stay at the Roadhouse. Thanks for sharing the good, the bad, and now the scary. Lol.
We were in NM awhile back & in one area they’d had the fires then the flooding. We saw groups of Moose in the subdivisions. Escaping the burn & needing grass & cover. So big, Heather they are bigger than a Toyota Rave. Like a short school bus I think 😂 Cool story & great experience. Chuck has your back! I’m gonna miss y’all
I always thought that getting to the end with the leaves turning would be perfection. Of course, up there, you could also get snow. Anyway, I'm really enjoying the fall colors of Maine. Oh, and I love Necco wafers, especially the black ones.
Love the Maine Roadhouse. And I used to eat those NECCO candies when I was a kid. Now I wish I would have tried a Moxie when I was there to compare Lol! Congrats on 2000k what a milestone. I remember standing there and doing Fireball shots to celebrate! Good times and memories!!!
I laugh when people say they want to see a moose. I only want to see one from across a river or in my car. They are huge! I have heard that if one charges you stand behind a big tree, because their vision is so bad. I have also heard stories that they have followed hikers on the trail. Congratulations on 2000! Great video today! The Fall colors are beautiful!
You're a nurse from Louisiana? My RN wife was from Jennings, LA. When we moved to CT she was fascinated by the rocks and the fall colors. Congrats on 2000 miles.Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
@@heather__hikes We were both in the Army and met at Ft Belvoir, VA in 1977. Martha was LSU 1974. We were married in the Generals' Chapel at Belvor in 1978. I grew up eating Necco waffers, the news stand in the little town had a awesome "penny candy" rack. including those. Had to laugh at the Moxxie taste test, I just had my first one a few weeks ago and looked just like y'all trying to figured out what it tasted like. Friend who used to live up that way has a case shipped to him on a regular schedule. Congrats on passing 2K and surviving a moose visit!
Mid September to Mid October in Maine is Moose Rutting season. Those bull moose have only one think on their mind. Be safe and walk well. Enjoy the foliage!
Wow.. I think that's the first time you mentioned your group including Ben, Alice and Yaya.. I have been following them for a little while too and can't remember seeing or hearing the cross reference.. very cool
@@heather__hikes Small world :) I love that you guys were all together ! Ben posted their Birches Campground video today, but future Ben closed it with letting us know he ended up with a stomach flu that night and they didn't summit the next day... all's well I suppose and expect to see the summit video tomorrow.
Congrats on your first Moxie...best soda ever. And for surviving Caribou Valley Road. So many memories...and shenanigans on that road. And how did you get a loud moose? They are silent and just appear for me.
Congratulations on several milestones!! 2000 Miles, Moose and Moxie (3Ms!). Too bad you didn’t get to enjoy the moose from afar, they are magnificent beast. I’m with Chuck about Necco wafers, I know exactly what he was talking about but didn’t know the name; you just said the name like you just ate them yesterday 😂. Everyone would love you on their Trivia team. I never really associated them with Moxie though, but then again I only had it once and won’t have them again. Anyway, hope you guys are getting close because yeah, Winter is coming.
Wow!! That had to be frightening! Congratulations on 2000 miles🎉 Those fall colors are so pretty 💗
Congrats on 2000!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 And the colors of the leaves are just stunning!
The colors are popping off!
Great video! Beautiful color! On the CT this summer I had my eyes peeled for moose but I never got to see one.
Necco stands for New England Candy Company😊
* Confectionery Company, yeah I do that. Look things up 😊
Oh thanks for the correction😊@@lindal986
Oh I didn’t know that!
Cool!
Necco Wafers are an OLD candy. I remember getting them at the movie theater when I was a kid and I'm 67! Congrats on 2000 miles! So close!

It’s beautiful!
Congrats on hitting 2000 miles 💕🤍👣
Ty!
Congrats on reaching 2k! Did not expect Moxie to taste like Necco
I could be off but that’s what I thought it tasted like haha
NECCo originated in Cambridge, Massachusetts and made in a factory in Revere, Massachusetts which is a city right next to where I am from.
Careful what you wish for! 😆 I wouldn't sleep for a week after that!
I didn’t sleep much that night 🤣

Love watching someone’s 1st taste of Moxie! But no need to figure out what it tastes like. It tastes like MOXIE 🤣
I liked it!
I love Necco wafers!! (And I am old. 😅)
They were never my favorite 😅
Meeses!

Is this in the 100 mile wilderness?
Not yet

Oh yea bottle caps! I remember those!
NECCO's, a great candy..
Sorry, if I would have waited 30 seconds I would have heard that you have more than 100.
🤣
