Twilight is my very first render software. It still has a special place in my heart. Thanks for making it.

This is amazing tutorial!!! I was waiting for V2 freneticly :-) Previously (morning) I was confused about the diference between V1 and V2. But now is eveything OK. Seriously! I purchased full licene of Twilight render V2 today (as a Maxisam) and I am fully satisfacted now. I tryied many different renders but TR is my best. He is relatively easy, very user friendly and is it good price for hobby. I have to say: Number One! You did great job masters from Twilight Team!!! The man who is speaking on this video has easy understand english for foriners :-) P.S. Please do not sleep on laurels :-)))

Great tutorial, but the voice is too low, i had tune my speaker volume to the max.
I purchased Twilight Pro years ago, and i believed i had updated the V2 version, the sketch up version i use now is 2020, following the instructions of the above video, i had the following problems: 1) Couldn't get Studio Light by Raymond, will that affect my rendering set up and end result? 2) Can't find in Tools pull down menu " Deep material" 3) Taking way too long to render in setting No.9 (Interior- progressive render), about 22 minutes only up to 55/10,000 treads (i set my treads to only 1) 4) The user interface is different, there is no rendering preview function in the pro version...., and no rendering history as well, they are missing...
I wonder what happened, can you please advice? if need to upgrade, i certainly would be glad to pay, but i remembered i purchased pro version)...
Seeing those extremely beautiful and photo realistic examples done, i wonder if i could achieve the same result, very frustrated as i am juggling within many tasks and polishing 3D software skills. Please let me know where to follow the forum, thank you so much.

Sorry for the sound problem. Please try headphones. In other tutorials the sound is louder.

I purchased Twilight over a year ago but it has sat on my hard drive virtually not used as I have another render engine that I found better for the more theatrical lighting that I need to use in my renders. Having upgraded to V2, it's time to give it another go. However, on a first attempt yesterday, the problem I was having was that Twilight was not recognising my applied/imported images that I had placed on certain surfaces in SU?

I really wish you'd speak more loudly. I could hardly hear you. But mainly I wish you would explain the "Templates" part more thoroughly. Like "Bump" "Texture" etc. It seems like no one ever dares to explain it fully. I know most of the basics. But an in-depth explanation would be nice. Like how does "Procedural Bump" work???

Please see our 6 essentials to using Twilight Render with SketchUp it goes step by step through all major areas of rendering. There is a video specifically on materials here: th-cam.com/video/hyOeJjJdQN4/w-d-xo.html with good sound quality. See also our PBR materials video - th-cam.com/video/0isrB6PFlKg/w-d-xo.html.

I followed your tutorial up until 14.45, when you access a drop down menu from the tools tab. I don't have this in my V2 version.(Or the 'exploration' icon)
Is this for SU Pro users only?

Correct, naturally Twilight Render Pro has some features not available in the hobby version. See the TwilightRender.com website for the Hobby vs Pro list.

Hi there, my shadow underneath the block has vanished when i render. And now... so has the rounded edges on the 'Weld Verticle' setting. It's really frustrating. I had it all done and now I'm going backwards.

Kathryn Gomez, for some reason we can not reply directly to your comment. The Deep Material Editor is accessed in SU2015 via Extensions Pull-down menu>TwilightV2>Deep Material Editor. With previous versions of SU, it will be in Plugins>TwilightV2>Deep Material Editor. Or you can apply any template material to a surface in SU, then convert it to Deep Material in the Twilight V2 Material Editor Dialog>Tools>Convert To Deep. If you do not have this choice, then you do not have Twilight V2 Pro. If you have purchased a license, please be sure you have activated it according to the instructions on our website.

Kathryn Gomez, please feel free to join us on Twilight Render's Community Forum for answer of your questions. Searching the past topics there and reading the Tips and Tricks section there will greatly increase your knowledge. In this case it sounds like you've applied an image to the face of a different surface in SU. This image needs to be moved away from the surface a centimeter so that it is not sharing 3D space with other geometry. Then it will render fine. Be sure to check your back faces, images should automatically offset slightly so that they will render properly. This feature fails if the image plane is reversed.
