I used to call myself a “night owl” and go to sleep late, wake up late - When I got with my partner who gets up at the crack of dawn it took me a couple of years, but eventually I started to force myself to go bed earlier. And in turn, wake up earlier. Once I realised how much more you can get done in the early hours of the day that you don’t get back in the evening, I became so used to it! It’s just all about creating the habit! I now love going off to bed at 9:00pm! Also, avoiding tv, computer, home lights (especially spot lights) & phone screens is essential to calm your brain down before bed. I wear blue light blocking glasses which seem to do the trick!
I now class myself as an early bird 😊

Thank you for opening up. I needed to hear this today. After 5 kids, with the last two being twins, I struggle with body image. I appreciate your openness. It makes me feel normal for having the thoughts I have. Also, I’m dying at your “drive by” discussion. Here in the US, a drive by is definitely a bad thing…It is regarding a shooting.

Im just over a year into my postpartum body, and im feeling exactly how you are. My self love journey goes up and down, I have to remind myself your weight does not define you. But it doesn't always work, I find talking to my husband helps. I have lots of time to loose weight I dont have lots of time left of my baby being a baby 😭
ben and holly.. i swear to god its the best kids show ever! ive caught my other half watching it alone on more than one occasion lmao. its got plenty of humor that adults can still really appreciate x

They will understand most of it by 3 years old generally :) I work in an early learning school, it is quite amazing what young children are capable of! Most of our 2 year olds understand birthdays (this year they turned 2 next year they turn 3 ect. and know that they get a birthday cake with candles, it's very cute)

My daughters 3, turning 4 in April and this is the first year she truly understands that Christmas means santas coming, presents, reindeers etc and she’s super excited for it all, doing her advent calendar each day etc :) though last Christmas she was 2 going on 3 she was super excited too, but didn’t grasp as much of it especially in the run up to Christmas. So this is the first year it’s really magical for her, and not just about waking up on Christmas morning to presents but all the other fun magical parts :)
Carys should write a book about self love honestly. She’s helped me so much on understanding some bad emotions I had and didn’t even understand what they are. And seeing her explain it made it so obvious and helped me comprehend it. And also seing someone being so genuine about it and sharing her experience with self love, makes me feel so much less alone and let down.
Thank you Carys and keep doing what you do, and if anyone told you today, you’re gorgeous and strong !

Love seeing your videos! My little girl has just turned 2 and she's so excited for Christmas she knows Santa's coming and bringing her presents. She's aware that santa and the elves are making her presents. So I just think it audepends on each child. But it is so magical!xxx

I just can't get my mind round how much Amber sleeps. I have had four babies and not a one went down for a sleep like Amber. Obviously I was doing something very wrong. All 30 - 40 years old now. God bless you - beautiful family
All babies are different, that doesn't mean you did anything wrong ❤
Im also an evening person and struggle to get an early night! I make sure Im not on my phone at least half an hour before bed, hot shower/bath before bed always helps and pillow sleep spray! Try and get into an evening routine xx

I would say around 3 years children have understanding and excitement over Christmas! And Bluey is a great TV show for children and not awful for the adults watching too 😂
My 2 year old is soooo into this year! He probably doesn’t get it but is so excited and so into and talks about it and sings all the songs it’s so cute!! My 5 year old is beyond excited! First year we’ve done elf on the shelf and he bloomin loves it! I say anywhere from 2 it gets more exciting!! X

You guys!! 🤩 Carys thank you for being so honest and you did the right thing by getting those emotions out there! Be kind to yourself - remember it can be all sorts of reasons e.g. that time of the month, fatigue, the weather changes etc.! Embrace the self love, eat some chocolate and do something that makes you happy 💃

My mum works in a nursery with 2-5 year old and all know and understand what Christmas is, meet Santa etc but from 3 they have lists and know they get presents and write letters to Santa (I.e the adults write letters and they out their name), they play games and decorate etc.
Obviously different developments but the 3-5 year olds all are very involved.
I’ve been feeling the same this past week Carys 🥺 struggling with comparing myself to celebrities my boyfriend finds attractive because I don’t look like them. 😔 hopefully I’ll get through it, your videos really make me feel comfortable and give me that time away from over thinking ❤️

You should get the big clear storage boxes for each season and store them. Saves having loads of cardboard boxes ☺️

Im a nursery nurse and a lot of our around 2 year old can recognise Santa, but don’t link. The 3 year olds know what’s going on more if they’ve got older siblings. And from preschool upwards they understand and can link it together in my experience 😊
Sesame street song compilations are the best! Elmo's world used to be its own show, but they changed it to a segment of Sesame street after the original guy left. Daniel Tiger's neighborhood, Clifford and Curious George are my daughter's favorites (8mth) and they don't drive me batty.

My little girl got excited opening stuff but didn’t understand at 1&1/2 but now shes 2&1/2 and she’s absolutely buzzing! 😍♥️ enjoying every second because my 9 year old opens presents and then hes off to play his games again 🥺😅x
Amber is so cute. First Christmas is literally for the parents but it’s still special. My parents still have lots of things for my first Christmas (photos!) I absolutely love looking back I find it so so cute James is right about drive by. The train song says “this is not a drive by drive drive by!”❤️
My little girl is 3 and a half and she has been excited for Christmas since june 🤣 she shouted me into her room this morning at 5am and I noticed whilst she looked at me dead serious, that she had her Santa hat on 🤣🤣
My little one loved masha and the bear, bear in the big blue house on ty and zafari. channels like baby John and mother goose are great too for them to learn through song, (not sure if that's exactly what the channels called lol)
Also a little tip for your greggs pasties, take them out after a few mins in the oven and brush some egg glaze over them before putting them back in the oven to cook👌
Also, wanted to say, I used to think Amber was James’ twin but now I see so much of Carys in her. Either way she’s the cutest babes I’ve ever seen.🥰

Regarding sleep - with normally a half 4/ 5 oclock start and an 11 hour day shift at work i have no advice as i’m shattered by half past 9 😂😂 I look forward to an early night so much! Hope you guys find a middle ground of ‘you’ time and getting an early night 🥰
Our household is all for chip and potato and bluey! Keeps the kids (8, 2 and 7 months) all entertained.

Invest in some storage totes for all of your seasonal decorations. Clear are best. It will make your life easier. :)
My 2 girls were about 2 when they understood christmas but i love christmas so they saw me excited so they were, also Bluey(the tv show) is hilarious! Plastic bins[totes] would save your Christmas decor when storing away too ♡♡ gotta protect the precious items

my little Girl turned 4 November and this is the first year she's excited about Christmas. Talks all the time about santa and sings christmas songs by herself 😆.
Horlicks at 8:00 and then I go to bed even if I’m not tired at 9:30, and then I’m usually asleep around 10ish. I have no caffeine after 6:00 and I find that has helped me to sleep earlier.

I can't go to bed early, I always go to bed 1/2ish and I work half 8 - 5pm 😂 I love to make the most of my evenings, im defo a night owl! I think you have to have that nature to sleep 9 / 10pm until 7ish xx

My nephew and nieces love "Bluey", it's a Aussie children's program that I quite enjoy, there are quite a few sections that I have found quite funny as an adult ☺️
My first born loved Elmo and watching Elmo's World, we bought him a tickle me Elmo toy which was great but that was back in 2008 when he was 2. From memory Peppa Pig, In the Night Garden, Little Einsteins, Number Jacks and Mickey Mouse Club House were also firm favourites in our house when my kids were really young xx

Random comment but trying to link my thoughts from your last two videos regarding the property search 🤍 I remember you saying about not wanting to buy somewhere to then rent out… but by the sounds of the type of reno you guys are looking to do it’s defo going to be super hard to find something that’ll give you value for your time / money if you plan to try and sell on after (as the type of market this is, even the smallest fluctuation in property or material prices can just throw your whole project out the window even losing you money) :( I really feel sad when people try to shame property investors for buying to then rent out (obv there are some awful people out there who do it for the wrong reasons) but by the sounds of what you guys are trying to do in terms of reno, you’d be offering a potential renter a beautiful home that they maybe couldn’t have afforded had a person just bought the same house (but already done up) and then rented out. This way you’d get a return on your time, money and love put into it, you get to see someone else love the home that you put effort into creating, and don’t have to let it go entirely. I’d really like to break this stigma on property investors! X

I thought the hygienist was painful as my mum kept telling me but it’s not painful at all. It’s actually very satisfying how clean your teeth feel and I got a lot of information from the dentist as well
