He and his wife have fed 16 million people during this covid-19 crisis. What he does for the Bay Area is very much appreciated. I also think he's one hell of a basketball player. And his wife is one hell of a cook. We need more people like them
While I mostly agree with you I gotta give some props to Iverson.... His handles were a thing never seen before. When Iverson joined the league he was doing things no one had ever seen.
@@WalkoffGrandslam The reason why I think Jordan and Steph Curry would be above Iverson, is they both have moments 1st hand or Live. Most people always had to look at highlights or special videos to watch Iversons' brilliance. And his highlights were far in between or even one moment if a game. But Jordan and Steph have multiple unforgettable moments that most people witness as it was happening. At least that is how I feel.
Michel Jordan made the game I love popular worldwide. Steph changed how every team and coach from overseas to high school play the game. Different kinds of impact but by lightyears the two single biggest impacts the sport has ever seen.
His shot is so incredible but this year his finish at the rim has been equally incredible. He gets in the lane and is so creative if he finishes with all these bigs around him. If they can slide in the sixth seed I’m gonna pound the table for him to be MVP.
Michael Jordan didn't come from the "ghetto" no one noticed, people are just jealous that he has something in him they don't since he looks so ordinary. Which is one of the reasons that makes him incredible.
Most NBA players come from middle class families INCLUDING LEBRON he is not from the “ghetto” he has been taken care of since he was 11 years old....coming from the ghetto doesn’t matter either you can play or you can’t.
Lebron needs Wade, Bosch, Kyrie, Love, AD. Durant needs Russ, Harden, Blake, and the 73-9 Warriors. Curry only needs the ball and G league players to win. Dame and Curry is the only superstars I respect staying loyal to team that drafted them and building team through the draft.
I rarely watched basketball before Steph Curry. In 2014 a friend told me I was a fool and needed to watch the Warriors. Being in the Bay Area that was easy to do. I've watched every game since. I don't know Steph Curry but I love Steph Curry. Weird.
Steph is the most skilled player of all time. Not the greatest, but the most skilled. Handles like Kyrie, finishes in the paint like Harden, more efficient scorer than anybody, and the greatest shooter of all time.
The macho basketball players don't like him because he's not the tough macho type guy. He doesn't slam dunk, he doesn't roar. He has fun and he smiles and he's approachable and you can identify with him. Steve Kerr put it mildly. He says that Curry looks like a kid, but behind that comment is the reality that the big tough players respect toughness and brute force. They don't respect finesse and great play. Curry changed the game forever. He made the big tough centers irrelevant. The NBA used to be about physical force, but now it's about skill and talent, not weight lifting and macho toughness.
For approachable stars - I'd probably pick Ernie Banks as the closest equivalent. Played with pure joy, loved the game, seems to be one of the nicest human beings to have ever played pro baseball. Steve Young and Brett Favre also seem to have that love of the game while still being approachable despite their stardom.
Why would people hate Steph Curry for not coming from the ghetto. It is quite the common misconception that there are a bunch of black athletes from the ghetto. Most professional athletes grew up upper middle class, summer camps cost money, but the media only mentions guys like LeBron and Deshaun Watson coming from single mom homes.
Steph Curry has changed the game more than ANYONE in the history of the game since Wilt Chamberlain....he has changed the game so much he has Jedi mind tricked players into believing they can do what he does but it has just made the game worse!!!
You tube Facebook, TV podcast etc . all around the globe of lock down, quarantine, ,..we got a good exciting, entertainment and intense ,suspense and many things to talk about from, all walks of life...this make the stressful life of covid19 a little lighter to take in the many places. .
Aye Lebron is an incredible person too I’m the biggest Steph and Warrior fan but I have to say the media makes people appear to be good or bad Kyrie is one of my favorite players because his ball handles I love his nonconformity though just wants to be respected as a human severely mis- understood the way the media can spin things is incredible but all that said I agree with these guys about Steph every bit of it.
My favorite image of Steph was him and his wife chasing down an ice cream truck with him shouting "Ice Cream Sandwich"! Just simply a regular guy who plays basketball for a living is a great at it!
You might think you could be Curry rather than a 7ft giant but honestly hes fooling everybody since he has a 1-1000000 nervous system connection imo (handeye, heightened spatial and temporal recognition etc) but just him breaking new ground will change the NBA forever, the likes of what we might not have seen from any player.
@@Maminator10 True, but the 3 pointer was basically treated as more or less an oddity back in the 80s with the league as a whole taking only a fraction of the 3s that they do today. Bird didn’t toss up a boatload of 3s because he didn’t have too, the Celtics steamrolled teams with unmatched team play, defense, and a dominant inside and midrange game. With that said, Bird still shot 40% from beyond the arch several years, won 3 straight 3 point contests, and it’s not a very big stretch to think that his 3 point numbers would look as gaudy as Curry’s if he chucked up 15 3s a game instead of the 3 or 4 he normally shot. Curry is amazing, but today’s game looks more like a high paced game of horse vs how it was played decades ago. Even without the idiotic politics injected into the NBA, poor defense, no midrange game and ticky-tac fouls constantly being called, frankly , today’s game has become all but unwatchable
Larry was goat shooter of his era... But Larry Legend himself says Curry by far is the greatest shooter he has ever seen. Curry is lightyears ahead everyone else as best shooter of all time. While Bird is one of my fav players of all time he aint even a better shooter than Klay.
He’s so ordinary his parents raised him to be a Christian and a good person basketball was secondary. He took a back seat to KD so he would feel welcome and KD trashed Warriors
Entertaining as hell to watch him shoot the basketball, but he’s always rubbed me the wrong way since he threw his mouth piece like a dramatic queen in the finals vs Bron’s Cavs.
Because it was a bullshit foul call against him during an entire series where the Cavs were constantly grabbing, pulling, scratching, and clawing him the entire series and not getting called. I'd be fed up too if I were him. Let me guess, you're another Lebron bandwagon fan boy?
Really? Have you never chucked something in disgust before? Also- even if you have not- chucking stuff in frustration is super common.... a weird reason to hate someone.... bigger picture its because he has weird habits around playing with his mouthpiece and was (pretty justifiably) furious its more surprising he does not do it all the time
Dude has more games with 10+ 3pointers made than the rest of the league combined all time he has 21. Klay is second with 5. Steph had hit 72 in his last 10 games at a 50% clip. He is the only player in NBA history to have 11 straight games of 30 points over the age of 32. Not Kareem, not Jordan, not Kobe or Lebron. He may not be the best ever, but to act like he isnt in the discussion as best PG ever is absurd. Its him and Magic for me. 1a and 1b.
