Thanks Steve Marshall, good to see the Continental Electronics transmitters, quality is fab, and, I note it is a post from Radlett 12. G'day Radlett 12, another fantastic aircheck, with a super video, God Bless you.
Shortwave listeners, just listen in on 6.925 MHz USB, and you'll hear pirate broadcasting! Best time to listen is after sundown, especially on weekends and holidays. I've had lots of luck hearing stations even with an inexpensive Kaito KA1103 pocket receiver!
Ron O'Quien and I had physic labs together in Sr Hi School. He was the best evening DJ in our home town back then. Friends and I would drop by the sta once in awhile back then. Glad to see he had gone so far and places on the air. We last face-to-face visit was summer of '72. Gods speed Ronnie, I'm still in Texas. 070111.
Wanna know what I would like to see in international waters? A new pirate TV ship. An unbiased pirate TV ship sending out the stories from both sides. where the likes of the BBC and ofcom can only sit, worry, and twiddle their thumbs.
this is great footage! i am producing a documentary about Caroline and the other ships of the 60s and would love to use this footage! if you're interested, please shoot me a message!
The best station ever what a blast to see this clip!
If your old enough to remember radio England, you know it was one of the best and most exciting pirate radio stations around.
what a nice video of this great station, which was there much too short - and NEVER had a successor of the same level!!

It sounds like they use PAMS jingles, which was also used for Musicradio WABC in the 60s.

a lot of people say that big l was the most professional station in the 60's i think radio england was more professional than radio london.

Nice one Dave!
If you like radio jingles - Google Norman Barrington - he used to make them for the pirates and has a colossal collection.
