Hi Adam, trying to figure out what crash bars I could use to add highway pegs to. Mine is a BMW f750 GS low seat version, 2022.

Hi Julie. congrats on the new bike! Givi is what we're using. Alternatively SW-Motech and I think Touratech. Givi has been good. It's a 1" bar so you can then buy any highway pegs you like. AltRider's highway pegs are the best in my opinion. Very well built.

Interested in Heather’s feedback. I’m not a highway peg kinda rider so while I don’t see myself using them I’m always curious what a newer rider might think. Hell even forward controls feel odd to me. Probably 15 years of riding dirt bikes before I ever owned one for the street.

Hi Adam, just my opinion but typically, highway pegs should be installed so any impact will fold them back up (like your foot pegs). By reversing this, as you have effectively done on both, creates a hazard in that if the bike is low siding. The peg will contact ground and rather than folding up as designed, will act as a fixed pivot point for the bike. Bad things, man. Also, I too rest my leg on my hwy pegs, but the serrated blades on yours are really intended for the boot soles and will not be kind on back of boots or riding pants over time. When using pegs, your foot should be pushing peg to full open position. Your clutch side (driver side? Ha ha) peg will collapse closed if resting sole of boot on it. Also, no way to deploy the peg while riding with that orientation. Just my thoughts. Ride safely!

Good points, We've already begun re-evaluating the placement of them to both be more comfortable and not take away from the crash bars' use. In addition, if Heather really takes to them, we'll spend the money on pegs that are more kind to boots and more effective. I wasn't sure she'd actually use these so it's sort of a test before spending $150 on smoother bars.
