He has too much choices of course he will not take the bamboo shoot now, he is trying to request for more carrot, apples and etc treat. The bamboo shoot is leave for when he is alone he will take it for sure. He is a smart panda and a very demanding one too hahaha!
With the typhoon situation is it a problem getting truckloads of fresh food not the facility each day? How about the staff who take care of the animals? It looks like the Zoo is still closed to the public at this point. Are some of the staff staying there with the animals until the danger is over? Does this providence have an annual Typoon season each year? If do how difficult it is to get in and out of the Zoo? Does it cause alot of power outages?...that might make it difficult to keep the animals food refrigerated? Is there anything that we can do to help you get through these emergency times? I'm hoping all the staff who work there are safe including their families. Are we allowed to send mail to the zoo to Thank you for your care and kindness to these animals. If so. Could someone provide an address in English that I could send a card or gifts to Jin Hu and his wonderful Nannies? Please be safe Nannies and thank you for continuing to care for these animals even when I'm sure you have your own families to worry and care for.

@@michellegalvez9187 It's really hard to judge panda babies' genders; the zoo experts get it right most of the time, but sometimes they make a mistake, and only find out when the panda grows up
