Awww…this was too short =D But you made the most of your time (ie limited days) and that makes us happy, too. if you loved Jolibee for its food and price, be sure to pencil-in a trip to Mang Inasal in the Metro (bring your Filipino friend, too, should he be available by then). Needless to say, you've only scratched the surface of Filipino cuisine. Also, if BGC "confused" you because of the many American and European shops, make sure you and the Family (on the Run) check out historic Intramuros in the capital city of Manila. Would be interested to see what you guys think of the experience there. Not as easily walkable as the planned BGC area but adjacent to the Manila City Hall across Intramuros is the Mehan Garden established by the Spaniards. To complete the triangulation of interesting places in the City of Manila is the world's oldest Chinatown in Binondo across the Pasig River. Hope you and the family can accommodate a trip back to the Philippines (but avoid coming here during the western summer months because it would be the wet season here). Would love to visit the historic city of Prague someday, too. Hope your flight back was comfortable. Cheers, and a belated welcome to the Philippines ü
AMAZING COUNTRY!!! 🇵🇭.I worked with Filipino-American Nurses many years!! Best Nurses in the universe!! ⚕️🌎. I learned plenty from my associates, it's culture, food, family, etc Indeed, extremely interested country!! Planning someday to travel to the Philippines. 🏵️🤗
If you want to see a mall that has more of the local products, go to malls like SM (Megamall, Mall of Asia, etc), Robinson's, Ayala. They still have western stores there, though - Zara, Mark's and Spencer, etc. Plus other Asian stores and Restos - Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese. *Come to think of it, Manila (or Metro Manila - w/c is composed of many cities like Manila, Makati, Quezon City, Taguig where BGC is, Alabang...) is 'pan-global'.* There are popular restos in the city that serve cuisine from continents/regions other than Asia, North America and Europe such as South America, Africa, Mediterranean.

Watching your video walking with all the Filipinos, you blend in with the crowd. You're like a Filipina Mestiza. Filipina with Spanish blood. 😊 Beautiful.
When you got to Manila American Cemetery, I felt so solemn when I saw those lines of crosses of American heroes in the Philippines and the American flag stands side by side with the Philippines flag, it made me cry. We love America!!!!
If you take your family with you when you come back, going outside of Manila is the best way to go! We have stunning provincial landscapes and jaw-dropping beaches. And as an added bonus, it is so much cheaper and the people outside of Manila are so much more friendlier! Just don’t expect modern high-end establishments like Makati and BGC but modest and humble surroundings that makes the Philippine countryside so beautiful. Thank you for visiting our country. Hope you enjoyed your stay.
I like that term. Jaw-dropping beaches. That is very true. More so the non-touristy ones. There are dozens more around the country, many of which remain nearly uncharted and untraveled.
Thank you so much mam for liking the vibes of Manila most especially BGC and hope to see your next vlog with your family when you come back again..We warmly welcome you in our humble country..Mabuhay!.. 🙂👍
Welcome to the Philippines!!.... this is the best place to grow your channel... hope you get your family to come visit the islands... watching from Tagaytay City
Hi ma'am welcome to the Philippines. BGC looks like cities in the States, bec this country was a former colony of the US., Before US were under Spain for 333 years. So dont be surprised our language is mixed with english and spanish words. So enjoy ur 5 days stay in our humble Philippines.🇵🇭
If you're looking for something local, you have to go to the department stores of the mall or ask the concierge or the guards where ou could find the "Filipiniana section" or you could simply check the grocery. If you want hardcore local items, you should go to famous markets like Quiapo😉
You have to comeback.... You have to explore the best beaches in the world El Nido, Coron, Boracay. Bring your family...so that you will experience the hospitality of the Filipino. Its a must. 😁
BGC is formerly Fort McKinley which was US Military Base, named after President William McKinley the 25th President of the United States and the 3rd US President that was assassinated. Thank you for showcasing our country. watching you from Arizona.
It’s more known as “Fort Bonifacio” though hence the nickname BGC, in fact Fort Bonifacio is still a functioning military base, serving as one of the Philippine Army’s headquarters, down south the commercialized area of Fort Bonifacio.
You should definitely have to comeback our country have so much more to offer explore our beaches outside Manila there you will truly feel the philippine
Welcome to the philippines and im hoping that u come back again here once more with ur loving family.and tnx for ur liking the philippines.God bless u always with ur family.
The true Filipino vibes can be found outside the cities. Visit the northern or the southern part of the Philippines. The most authentic experience is there. Thank you for demonstrating the beauty of this country through your vlog. ❤
Thank you Family on the Run for taking us around the new cities of Manila. Never been there yet in my life! And by watching it I'm so proud that we are a developing country which is more appropriate rather than a third world country.❤
We're so glad you enjoyed your short stay here in manila. Hopefully you along with the family will have plenty of time to travel some of the beautiful places in the provinces when you come back soon. We guarantee you'll gonna love and be amazed by the sheer beauty of our nature!

BGC(Bonifacio Global City) was called initially nicknamed "The Fort" , before that it's named Fort Bonifacio, then before that was Fort Mackinley when US acquired the land. I love your impression of Manila. Manila is the old City in Metro Manila. I suggest the following; Makati City, East Wood Global City, Grand Canal in Global City, MOA in Pasay City and the Ortigas. Enjoy your tour in the Philippines.
BGC is a smart city and it was newly constructed city in the 90s. Majority of the shops are from western brand. If you really want to experience the heart of Manila you can visit again and roam around the Manila city hall area and surroundings from Quiapo to Binondo. Lots of local shops to buy souvenirs!
Welcome to the Philippines. Yes you should definitely come back with the whole family. There’s sooooo much to see and to explore in the Philippines. Enjoy!
Thanks for visiting the Philippines especially by yourself young Lady. For sure their is no problem communicating with our fellow kababayans the Filipinos because most of us speaks english. Watching here in Long Beach, CA. I’m glad to see you with all the amazing reaction from you being in Manila. I’m from Manila and very eager to be back there and visit my family and see all the new places which I’ve seen in several TH-cam channels. The reason why there's a military cemetery in bgc is because bgc is a military camp... Before it was called Boniface global city, the area was called fort Bonifacio where the Philippines marines were housed... Now of course the marines are moved somewhere else...
Summer just officially started in the Philippines. The weather was a little cooler just 2 weeks ago. You already know what to expect in summer time. Looking forward to your return trip to the Philippines with your family.
I just subscribed in your channel and really glad that your experience and first impression of Manila is all positive. Watching you here in San Diego, where we live and work. Thanks for sharing your adventure in Makati area, to see a church in a mall, laughing when you say "pray " to spend your hard earned money. Have a nice flight back, be safe and God bless

The City of Manila is the Central Capital. Manila is also Called Metro Manila or National Capital Region (NCR). Quezon City is the former Capital.
Correct,Manila is a region, formerly a province mid 1700s to1901,then became Rizal province 1901 to 1974 and finally 1975 to present a Metropolis called Metro Manila simply called Manila worldwide.MNL code in the aviation industry and some big establishment and landmarks named associated with the word Manila like Grand Hyatt Manila,Shangrila the Fort Manila,International School Manila,Manila Polo Club,Manila Peninsula,Dusit Thani Manila,Okada Manila,Manila Memorial Park,Manila International Airport now NAIA Manila American Cemetery and so many more associated with Manila.
Go to the SMAura church at the roof top and you will see the 360 deg view of nearby cities and the province of Rizal along with the mountain range of Sierra Madre as a background on it.
Enjoy more of the Philippines when you come back. You have to see our stunning tropical hideaways like Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, Palawan, Siargao, and more.
You are very welcome here in Philippines enjoy and be safe,,your are so beautiful and happy people so ihope you make a lot of video to share the beauty place of our country
That part of Manila has become the start of a sprawl of modern places. Every year, hectares of land of old structures around that area are converted to look western. Can’t wait for the train system to finish building
Next time you're in manila.. Dont hesitate to ask.. Everyone can understand english.. You can ask the people around you, the security guard , the saleslady , the waiters and even the people around you ..They can help you where to go , and the best place to go, to eat and find the best thing😍
I’m glad you’re enjoying your stay so far. I was actually there for several days back in late January to early Feb before I headed back home to the US. We have a house 30mins away from that place. Me and my fiancé who I visited decided to just stay there to be completely alone and be ourselves. Living here in Los Angeles gives me that vibe after visiting BGC. Take care enjoy
Come back! You haven’t even scratched the surface of the Philippines. Remember we have more than 7000 islands. You need so much time to enjoy our cities, towns, beaches, mountains, food, fruits and that filipino smile you can’t find anywhere.
Hello welcome to the Philippines enjoy explore GBC and Makati so beautiful place and view and enjoy food trip in joliebe and enjoy explore cemetery and market market pilipino friendly god bless stay safe thanks for sharing my country Philippines
Ahoj! When you're back in the CR; please visit the monument to Dr. Jose Rizal (our national hero) in Litomerice. He was a frequent visitor to your country when it was still part of the Austro-Hungarian empire to see his good friend Ferdinand Blumentritt. Apropos to your visit to the American War cemetery; there are 14 names of Czech nationals engraved at the National Shrine in Capas Tarlac. They were employees of the Bata shoe store in Manila prior to the outbreak of WW2. They volunteered to fight alongside Filipino & US troops and either died in Bataan or at the POW camp in Capas.
Ya welcome to philippines and explore manila and go to different places in BGC ana Makati, and explre also luneta, and intramuros, and go to province likevisayas and palalawan explore beach like elnido the most beautiful beach in the world.
Since many foreigners live and work in the Philippines, maybe that’s why BGC was created! And also for locals who can afford it, something different! Which is really good! It’s a tourist attraction! There is something for everyone!
BGC was a military camp of America before and later became Filipino military camp when pH got their independence. President Ramos sold it to the private sector and there it goes. Luckily, the people who bought it know how to develop it. Foreigners has nothing to do with it, although it has many foreign influences. 😊
For me as a local resident of the Philippines BGC is wonderful I get a good chance to explore a glimpse of different culture, but of course I know you're a visitor you want to explore locals ok you should go Binondo , Quiapo, Divisoria, also the oldest China town for you to enjoy, when it comes to prices you as a foreigner things would be inexpensive if you're using a Dollar to peso rate value you'll get a long way not unless you're earning a Peso and spend in pesos, so enjoy and cherish all the experience comeback soon god bless
Your video in-spite of being long i didnt even skip even for a second I loved it cause its raw and real. I feel like i was walking with you together. Thanks for making us feel like we are at home. I missed manila too. Regards from a filipino viewer working overseas. 😍 glad you enjoyed ur stay in Philippines.

Thank you young lady for visiting our country 🙏 ❤️
can't wait for you to come back with the family ❤
Since many foreigners live and work in the Philippines, maybe that’s why BGC was created! And also for locals who can afford it, something different! Which is really good! It’s a tourist attraction! There is something for everyone!
BGC was a military camp of America before and later became Filipino military camp when pH got their independence.
President Ramos sold it to the private sector and there it goes. Luckily, the people who bought it know how to develop it. Foreigners has nothing to do with it, although it has many foreign influences. 😊
Happy to watch youre channel..and love to hear how u appreciate the inner beauty of Philippines..my dear own country..
Count me in..

Cool! You had it unfiltered. Do come back with your family and find out more of the country. You'll enjoy more. Wish you safe travels. 😊
Wonderful sharing Manila with you Lenka. I was there in 2003 😊
Thank you Betty!❤️
mabuhay experience rhe sights and sounds of the philippines try filipino dishes snacks malls beaches resorts enjoy
