- LSU visited Ole Miss in week 12 of the 2019 college football season. The Tigers looked to improve to 10-0 in what turned out to be a high scoring game with a lot of twists and turns. This is a condensed form of the game to share with my audience of college football fans.

This really wasnt a surprise. Ole miss is pretty good. All of their loses were close games except for Alabama and LSU. That offense put up points.

I'm not a bama fan but bama owns you guys 8-2 in the last 10 meetings the only people who look at that as a rivalry are LSU fans.
Horn ofFrog true but as long as Alabama has Saban as head coach it will always be a rivalry between LSU and bama due to the fact that saban won championships at LSU first before failing in the NFL then going to Bama. LSU is also the only team in the SEC western conference that can give bama a problem. So despite the 8-2 record it’s still a rivalry.
Need a Spy planted on Plumlee and his primary job is to stop him from gaining full speed into the backfield.

LSU's defense, for most of the season, has put together about one good half of football per game. Its almost freaky the way it happens. Like we go from looking good to looking bad and once the bad starts, it stays bad. The opposite also happens. Where we start really bad and finish really good. There are exceptions like the georgia southern and utah state games in which we looked good all game, but all in all we play one good half a game and its weird.
@Jim Dandy Yes Georgia has defense but Jake Fromm is ass. If not for the defense then Georgia would have lost at least 4 games by now. LSU will murder Georgia.

Plumlee must be at least a 4.2 guy in 40, or the LSU defensive backs are 4.8 guys
The QB, RB, and WRs of LSU- SCARY GOOD. The Defense was subpar. Joe Burrow has to make sure that he minimizes his turnovers. Those 2 picks were uncalled for.
When your defense is playing like ass sometimes you make mistakes trying to force the ball cause you need to score every time
Haven't seen as dominant an individual performance since Al Bundy scored 4 TD in one game.

Yeah but when it mattered he couldn't throw to save his life. One dimensional is not gonna get you wins in D1. Tigers were up my 20+ each time they broke a big run playing intermediate zone. Few good plays by him but can't throw.

Rebel what part of my statement indicated that I was hurt? I just disagreed with your comment it’s not that deep. Championship level teams don’t take solace in losing “close games” or being competitive in the conference but still going 4-8. LSU played its worst football of the year on defense and still won by 3 TDs. Nothing to be embarrassed about. I personally think it’s more embarrassing to take give up 60 points on your home field and take an L, but maybe that’s just me. Anyways, I understand Ole Miss hasn’t won a championship since 1962 so I figure thats why you’re so excited about them at least playing respectable football. Hopefully y’all are at least bowl eligible this year.

It’s gonna be a short playoff season with this defense. Where the hell are the Lbs ? And when they do show up , they can’t get off blocks. I’ve never seen a LSU defense so slow and LBs, unable to tackle. Can’t expect the O to beat. GA, OSU. Clemson

Alonzo Armstead he’s not entering the transfer portal. Ole miss is just rebuilding and they will be good in 2021. He’s also the starter on an sec team. Once ole miss’s players get experience they will be a solid team.

Aranda has some work to do but as a die hard LSU fan I believe he can whip this LSU defense back into shape. I've said halfway through the season that the defense started to look soft. And it definatly shows in this game and previous others. A lot of missed tackles instead of easily wrapping them up as well.
Now in this game I understand there was some more inexperienced players put on the field. But Aranda hasnt had a reliable offense in a while so he had room to slack it's understandable so I cant hound him too much. I believe next week we will see a fresh defensive line.

I believe in coach o. I want to believe we didn't give up 614 yards to ole miss. Our offense is very good, probably the best, but someone will slow it down eventually. I am just worried, still optimistic, but worried

As an LSU fan I've never seen our defense struggle like this. I mean it might just be a side effect of our offense putting up so much points and never running out the clock. Previous LSU offense would run the shit out of the clock which in turn helps your defense with the amount of plays, and with them resting on the sidelines.

I wish they would expand the playoffs to 8 teams. It would be so epic. The polls are way too biased at times. While, although not perfect this structure will somewhat give most teams a fair chance of making it.

We were running and coming up short many times. Joe threw the ball late while scrambling on his first pick and then was hit during his second interception. Remember they are missing some o linemen.

If Burrow had a good defense his stats would be worse than fields (TD and yard wise). Games like this just allow for stat padding since LSUs defense forces Burrow to stay in.
LSU is missing Divinity. REminds me of how the defense played when Devin White missed time. Not saying Divinity would made our defense great, but you can see the difference without him. Alabama fans felt the same with Dylan Moses out. Moses was an X-factor missing in that game. I feel the same with Divinity.
