I live i Norway. But I was born in Brasil and lived in Brasil many years. In Brasil we use condensend milk to make many things. Try to find on youtube videos where you see "Brigadeiro", "Doce Chapéu de Napoleão", "Cocada com leite condensado", "cobertura de brigadeiro para bolo", "Docinhos de festa". The one you made in this video is called "Bombom de nozes". You can also find on youtube "Bombom de uva", "bombom de morango". In Brasil we make thousands og things using condensed milk, but I wrote here some of them. Hugs from Norway. 🇧🇻

Brazilian traditional desert, but the most common one takes cocoa powder. It's easier to use a taller pan not a frying pan. And this was slightly overcooked, that's why it's a little bit hard. The best time to turn off the heat is when while stirring you see the bottom of the pan.

@@laritownsend2527 yes, but that changes the flavor. It caramelizes the milk. While it's still yummy, the stuff straight from the can is so amazing! It (to me) has a buttery, rich, sweet, and very very slightly almost "smokey" flavor. I can't put in words but I can eat most of a can. Then I get ill! So I can't have it. But if there were candies, well, I would probably eat the whole bag! But someone needs Jelly Bell to make a flavor exactly like the canned, like the person suggested. What a great idea!

Agreed. I always toast the nuts when using for baking. And yes, it helps cut some of the sweetness in any recipe. Raw, unsalted and shelled pistachios are my current obsession; delish when toasted. All nuts can be done on stove in dry pan or oven at 350. Most only need 5 to 10 mins (depending on nut) before burning! Do not walk away! And take them out of the pan/sheet as soon as they're done because they'll keep cooking. Not that I learned the hard way... a few times...!

Apart the chocolate coating... This is very similar to the Afghan dessert sheer pira.
But sheer pira adds powdered cardamom and also other types of nuts can be used, especially pistachio and it remains just the white mix with nuts spread and left to cool and cubed. This is very interesting version, it's like a type of pralines you made. ❤️

This is a brazilian dessert, but it is coated with sugar icing. The one you made was over cooked, specially because it is in a frying pan which makes the condensed milk loose a lot of it`s water, so it gets too hard before it is cooked. Try making it on a taller pan. But either way, it is delicious. But the actual original Camafeu doesn`t take condensed milk, it`s a kind of walnuts with sugar paste. But its version with condensed milk is very popular.

Much easier to coat your candy down in the bowl of chocolate and pick up each piece with the fork to drain. Place your walnut halves on the chocolate while draining. These two tips will help make your process much faster and that way your chocolate won't harden so fast.
