    Great job man! That last km in 2:53min must've been brutal. Thanks for another massive motivational boost, just broke the 4:30 mark on the 1500 this week and had the exact same reaction as you, lying on the grass afterwards. Keep up the good work!

    Damn man, that is awesome. I am just getting back into running after years of training for bodybuilding then powerlifting. I currently hold top ten all time in the world positions in two different weight classes in powerlifting and have the heaviest deadlift ever in Canadian history for any weight class. Right now I can run comfortably for 5km (2 week into training) but at 292 lbs (132.5 kg) I am very slow. This is solid motivation for me to continue running, continue changing my body composition and lose both muscle and fat in pursuit of being able to run like I want to. I will never be able to accomplish what you have done here but I know I can get back to running with ease as I did 10 years ago (I turn 31 tomorrow).

    • @johnny2hats329
      @johnny2hats329 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good luck! The fact the marathon world record holder is like 110lbs says a lot about the sort of body you need for fast, long-distance running. I've recently gone from 140lbs to just under 160 from doing loads of push ups, pull ups and squats and even that relatively small change has had a very noticeable impact on my speed over distances. You're in a good position because you ought to improve really quickly if you keep at it, so all your training will be nice and rewarding.

    Hi Goran im a strength and conditioning coach and Im new to running. I started running 3 weeks back and im on the 4th week and my shins and calfs hurt so bad!! When I started I could barely run before the lactic acid would build up in my legs so i set my training sessions for Monday 30 min interval run, 3 minutes run and 2 minutes walk, and did the same running session on Wednesday and Friday. I have my recover days on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday as legs were in so much pain. I have also purchased the Nike Air zoom Alphafly which makes the running a lot easier. My goal is to just run 2 kilometres without stopping or walking for right now. What do you think?
