Completely agree on your best soft bait choice, and no one would believe the bass that I've caught on the Bone Spro Chad Shad. I'll have to try the Shimmy, I have one, that I've never open the package on.
Here’s the geographic differences, in the lakes I fish here in wv White does not work. Never caught anything on the bone, but trout I’ve caught close to a dozen with it.
Those are probably the two I would pick. My honorable mentions would be, the soft is Zaldangerous Swimbait/Baca Burrito, hard is Baitsanity Kimera shad, and jointed is Mike Buca Bull Herring.
I still own Sebile Magic Swimmer ACast 125SK I bought in 2008-2009, it has a Sebile wording on top of the middle section, how they would compare to the Berkley Magic Swimmer which was released this year?
Very cool! That is the bait you want for sure but the originals like the one you have are difficult to find. The original Sebile magic swimmers are one of the best herring swimbaits out there. I think the Sebiles are better than the Berkley magic swimmer due to quality and the swimming action. Don’t get me wrong though the new Berkley magic swimmer catches fish as well and has some great colors. What color Sebile do you have?
@@campetro10 I have to find the original package on my attic to say exact color name. But it looks silverish/shiner with a chartreuse on the tail part. Now I recall exactly, I bought this lure right after Todd Faircloth won Elite Series tournament in 2008. Never caught a fish on it, it looks like new, I think I used it once. I also had soft plastic Magic Swimmers, but sold them on EBay. At that time, I thought I could catch/slam spots better on Vision 110. Now the jerkbaits are not working that well for me. Do you think spots in general faster reaction fish compare to LMB, the spots tend to chase very fast moving baits and largemouth tend to be slower reaction, lazier fish?
@@WarEagleTheBest that sounds like a fantastic color. you should hold on to that bait and throw it for sure! it will get bit. i agree with you there, i think a lot of fish are getting conditioned to the jerkbait more and more. it worked better for me 4 or 5 years ago. i definitely think both spotted bass and largemouths will react to a bait but the spots are way faster and thats why 9/10 times you catch a spotted bass on the faster reaction baits. they beat the largemouth to the bait if they are mixed together. generally though largemouth are more of the lazier bass
great question, a swimbait rod is one of the most important pieces of equipment for this specialty technique. i have an in depth video coming out soon going over all of this. I would recommend a medium heavy or heavy swimbait rod. I use leviathan rods omega medium heavy for the Spro KGB shad. they are fantastic specialized swimbait rods
It’s a solid swimbait! I like it so far. It has a lot of body roll. I don’t have a ton of time with it when compared to the magdraft. I like it though.
yeah i wish i could come to Fork this year. my schedule is slammed this spring. I miss that lake. Oh yes that footage was last year i believe. i know it looks like it did a few years ago when i lived out there now that it is full. do you fish Fork often? the sneaky pete is fire as well.
@campetro10 Fork is my home lake. It can be amazing and very humbling at the same time!! Great content....keep um coming....too many now are simply commercials for sponsors.

Why are all TH-cam fishermen acting like they are pro fishermen? They are just a guy that fish just like the rest of us it’s just they video when they fish. So don’t take what they tell you as the gospel because it’s just their opinion and I would say that a ton of us have as many if not more hours on the water than the majority of the TH-cam “pro’s”
Pretty sure he is not claiming to be a “Pro”. If you watch his video he gives more information than most Pro’s. He offers opinions and information. He does not say take my word as the gospel he also ask for his viewers opinion also. Just like all information use it to your advantage. I appreciate his opinion on Lanier. I have used his information and techniques on Lanier and they work.

i believe it! glide baits catch monster fish... any where there are bass. you should for sure and throw it on a herring lake

In future videos you should mention to look out for ospreys when throwing big swimbaits, they will dive bomb and try and get your bait.
