Gotta ask is it possible for Wilds to be optimized even more in the future. Not asking for much just enough for it to run smoothly even on low settings.
Probably in a TU. Maybe even Valve enhances some aspect of it, seeing how popular the game got
There’s a video of this running on the deck from one of the beta test and it was bad. There’s always room for optimization.
This is better than I got! I barely scraped 20 FPS and everything was low or off.
This was using FSR frame gen. Did you have that on?
@@FramePerfectGamingImagine using frame gen at 30fps
@@leonardomatheus1888 Were you trying to make a joke? Or what? Extra frames are extra frames at 30 and at 150. The extra frames are not higher quality at higher frame rates.
@@MikeMiller-s8h But the latency is horrendous.
Even at 60fps base fps the latency is noticeable higher, at 30 fps is absolutely atrocious.
@@leonardomatheus1888 you dont like playing with 100ms latency?
I was going to get the game on PS5 but seeing as how it looks playable on steam deck now, PC/steam looks like the better option jumping between desktop and handheld.
Which proton did you use because latest proton ge would make it crash on opening og steam deck
I downloaded and just ran it. I would have to check. The test did crash a bunch of times but while it was testing not at launch.
Looks playable c:
I recommend to leave the upscaling mode to balanced as it improved the visual quality without affecting performance too much
Agreed, Anything higher made it look weird in certain parts.
Did you use the FSR 3.1 plugin?
Are you referring to the decky mod?
@@FramePerfectGaming correct :D
@@khunMooPing omg, I am thinking the same thing. I hope it improves the performance
The game already has FSR 3.1 by default, no need for that.
@@marcelosoares7148 ohhh really, i tot it will improve the performance more. My bad. I guess we have to wait for capcom to make it optimized for SD.
How was the input lag ?
I'm... mildly impressed? I'll happily play it on low and lock the refresh rate at 30 on the Steam Deck if it's at least stable. My PC got good numbers, we'll see how things work in the final release.
Looks very blurry expect the character itself
Frame gen in future?
This was with Frame gen and FSR 3.1 enabled .
How much worse would the performance be on og steam deck? I love monster hunter but would love for the game to hold at least 30fps which seems not likely
There shouldn’t be much of a difference between the two. You will definitely get 30 fps.
I usually like to play on my steam deck cause buddies I know play on pc so it’s a shame I wont probably play it on there and play it on the Xbox Series X instead of my Ole Steam Deck, maybe it’s just getting time for that vers 2 of it to play these games already haha
This is vanilla Deck or the OLED one?
OLED. No mods.
your steam deck, is it normal or OLED version?
Oled
@@FramePerfectGaming i see, thanks
40 with framegen is definitely not playable. The input lag must be crazy
are you use stemOS?
This is running default steam os. No mods. Oled.
Whats proton?
Proton is a compatibility layer that allows Windows games to run on Linux-based operating systems, such as SteamOS.
Low looks playable..?
It looks better on the deck. Keep in mind this is recorded on a capture card then uploaded and has TH-cams compression. It’s shaper then it appears.
