I thought that too until it came out on the Office Ladies podcast that the actor wanted the character to be the same person who just had a career change, but Greg Daniels said no. He said it wasn’t necessary to create a backstory bc he thought no fans would remember he played the graphic designer two years prior
@@Bgar422 That's the thing i don't get, it wouldn't require much of a backstory or mental gymnastics to make it work, he's a graphic designer who's good with computers and just got into IT/programming. As far as I'm concerned he's the same guy cause they also never really gave any hints that they're totally different, we don't know the name of the design recruiter.
He’s the same character. Pam just doesn’t remember him from the job fair nor does he recall her apparently.

It’s true. He gave up IT and went into graphic design bc he was fed up with the people in his office taking him for granted. The only one he didn’t mind was the pretty receptionist named Pam.

He’s not actually. The actor talked on the Office ladies podcast (hosted by Jenna and Angela), and said that two years after he played the graphic design guy, he was invited back but to play as Nick the IT guy. When the actor asked one of the producers (or shows creator, I forgot who) why he couldn’t just play the the graphic designer who then chose to go into IT, the producer (or creator) basically said “nah, Nick the IT guy will just be a different character. It’s been two years, no one will remember you played the graphic designer”.

Felix isn‘t a true fan, so he doesn‘t know the chronological order. He thought the order of this video is the correct one.
They just came out with this on the office ladies podcast. The actor wanted him to be the same character but Greg Daniels was like nah, who’s gonna notice. They actually weren’t going to give him the IT job because of that but he was the best man for the job so…that’s it, check it out 🖕🖕

Evan Peters was in 2 episodes of _The Office?_ What scene at the job fair was it? It's not the kid that signs the blank sheet of paper. Fun fact, in a deleted scene of the job fair, Oscar almost convinces an intern NOT to work at an office. She would later be one of the interns (Megan) in the season 6 premiere. She's one of the three that saw Stanley cheat on his wife at the club.

This isn't unusual in sitcoms though.On 'Friends', Jon Lovitz plays two very different characters in different seasons. And i am pretty sure I have seen some actor play two different characters on 'Two and a half men'.
No Two and a Half Men had two actors play one character. I think her name was Jill or something? She was played by a male character in a different episode later in the show.

I like to think of him as the same character. Designing didn’t work for Pam didn’t work out for him either. So he got a job as an IT guy.
I'm not sure if these two characters are actually different. In any case, there is still an instance of one actor playing two characters. Dwight's nephew and the kid that loved the hay ride were also the same actor.

This guy didn’t play two separate roles, his name was never mentioned in the first appearance and they talk about computers, he just got a different job doing IT work.
I’m gonna say what I noticed from some movies. In Rush Hour, the chauffeur (driving the little girl Soo Yung to school) gets shot in the head when the fake cop pulls him over. Fast forward to Rush Hour 3 (which takes place in France), this same chauffeur guy who died in Rush Hour 1, is all of a sudden on the bad guy’s side. As if they thought no one was gonna notice lol.

Had a job interview where I told the man anything I didn't know yet I'd know quickly since I was a fast learner. He talked to me like I was trash because I didn't know a few processes so I turned down the job. I got a different job that taught me the processes and I knew how to do everything the other man was talking down to me about within 1.5 days at the other job. If someone is willing to learn dont treat them badly because they don't know already especially since you'd most like have to teach them all over again since you probably have different equipment or processes.
