What do you think about this situation? Do you think Asmon is being piled-on? Do you think my take is an even handed one? Let me know YOUR thoughts in the comments below!
He has a point but he's saying it in the worst way possible. Being against religious violence is a good thing to be. Being a defender of genocides, by or on any group of people (which is what he explicitly said) is not. That said, it does seem like he's been pushed to this point by denials of Hamas's (or, more broadly, the actions and support of actions by religious extremists) wrongdoings by vocal minorities online, which make his outburst not okay, but understandable. World needs to get back to "love thy neighbor," man. This vitriol we all spit at each other has cost us too many lives, and makes us into monsters.
Thanks for the video. My thinking on this generally aligns with Asmongold initial post, though maybe a tiny bit less extreme. I think the biggest disconnect here comes to scales. Islam critics tend to think 99% of Muslims hold crazy backwards beliefs and opinions regardless of where they live, and support terrorism if they aren't one themselves. Islam defenders like you seem to think its 1-10% of bad apples that think that way and claim the rest of the Islamic world hates those bad actors. However whenever polling from the region comes out there is always 40-70 percent agreement from the population for the terrorists of their region, or the craziest aspects of Sharia law. Non-Islamophobic real news sites often publish polling showing 40% support for suicide bombings in certain countries or 2/3's support of October 7th by Palestinians...ect. I feel like you might be mistaking the scale of support and not taking into account the differences in attitudes between western muslims and non-western muslims, which is making me resist believing you.
You’re full of shit when you say that the base Muslim experience is to hate terrorists. Why do so many of them chant death to America while on American soil? Or death to Canada while on Canadian soil? Why is it that I see so many videos of Muslims refusing to condemn Hamas, even when they live in the west? Why is it that they try to implement Sharia law everywhere they go? These aren’t just terrorist groups, this is the majority of Muslims. And if you were fighting terrorists in your own countries then why did they take over two of them recently? Afghanistan and Palestine are both lead by terrorist organizations. Also, a “genocide on both sides” is called war. Stop using the word genocide. Israel is not indiscriminately killing civilians. Lastly, demonizing people in positions of power is how we ended up with Hitler, and it’s how we ended up with the Berlin Wall. If you demonize those with power, you are making it so that no one strives for power. If you punish the successful, we as a society will collapse. This is not only common sense, this is a story as old as stories themselves.
Someone didn't pay enough attention to the video... lmfao, you're certainly living up to your name. You do realize shit rises to the top on Social media right? Case in point, your comment. In reality, there are well over 1 billion muslims and moderate takes (which is the vast majority) don't generate clicks. That's a huge part of my point. The other part is the media needs you to be angry for you to be controllable. Stop falling for it. There's a reason for the term "vocal minority". The extremist voices are elevated in media for this very reason. You also have no idea what the base Muslim experience is, because from the way you talk, you don't know a single one of them. Afganistan and Palestine are both examples of extremists taking over the government, again, very much a very clear point I make in the actual video. Lastly, I didn't demonize people in power. I clearly talked about how you have to hold them accountable, and the fact they are not, is why we have so many of the problems we have today. Be racist again and you get banned, freak.

19 years ago. The average age in gaza is below 18. People didn't really know who they were at the time they painted themselves as a humanitarian aid group. You're beyond wrong on the munitions used. We know exactly which weapons Israel uses, none of them are "big bombs that don't target specific sites". They are using guided munitions on a preponderance of the military objectives vs risk of collateral damage. This evaluation is done per strike and they have openly admitted where they have using incorrect ordnance for the task. The amount of bombs they have dropped would have killed everyone in Gaza hundreds of times over when you consider they have dropped more than ten times the yield of the atom bombs dropped on Japan during WWII. This is why nobody trusts the analysis you make of your own side, it's always trying to justify terrorism by saying "both sides".

@@capcorgiTV But the Israeli action to rescue hostages isn't genocide, you're lying about which bombs they are using and you're doing this with a clear agenda to paint the attempts to free the hostages as something bad. They are targeting military installations with each strike. They are using precision munitions and guided bombs with limited payloads. You are lying to benefit the terrorists for no other reason than sharing some irrelevant "identity" with them.

@@capcorgiTV he apologised as that’s what the woke want to give his account back. Since my well being is not based on public views, I can say it and not apologise. Again, sad reality.
@@capcorgiTV im just not a very smart person and i try to mind my own business but i hear this word Palestine a lot and i just couldnt find it on a map
The comment section on Asmon's apology is wild. People in his own audience condemning him for apologizing because he's been adamant about people not apologizing. Those same people apparently never heard him say that he doesn't think apologies mean anything because it's actions that matter, and to many people apologize when they did nothing wrong to people who are just mad. This is a case where he felt he should apologize. He apologized because he believes he needs to change, and plans to do so. He told his audience to hold him accountable if he doesn't.
They would have no issue with him apologizing if it was for something they disagreed with, they simply can not cope with him not parroting all of their internal dialog. Seeing someone who said some of the things they believe turn around and say "actually I was wrong" fills them with rage.
Honestly big ups for remaining level headed after he called your race subhuman. Best way to handle it. Acting out would only give people more ammo to say similar things.
The Quran, much like the new and old testaments before it, contains numerous contradicting commands. They tell you not to hate, not to kill, but then they tell you who to hate and who to kill. I feel like you cannot tell anything about someone by what their religion is, but you can tell a lot about them by how they follow it. A christian can focus on "love thy neighbour" and "judge not lest ye be judged" and "thou shalt not kill", or they can focus on "Blessed the one who seizes your children and smashes them against the rocks" and "Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.". We need to stop judging people by the religion they follow and start judging them on how they choose to follow whatever belief system they partake in. This situation is too complex for any layperson to wrap their head around and form a valid opinion on. I refuse to form a final opinion on this matter, as I lack a degree in Levantine Anthropology and sociology, and I believe both sides are equally in the wrong. I can fully see the palestinians argument of "We've been here for 1300 years, we dont even know the names of the ancestors who conquered this land and expelled it's original inhabitants. we didnt personally steal this land and we don't deserve to be kicked out". and I also see the Israeli argument of "If we're going to be unwelcome everywhere we go, we might as well be unwelcome in our ancestral home because we deserve to exist". Any two state solution to this problem seems insane to me. We need to find a one state solution that allows people of every faith to practice anywhere they want in their holy land. Any state without complete and utter freedom of religion does not deserve to control even one square inch of a land that is the origin of 3 major religions with 3 majorly different sets of practices. And for as long as people keep trying to make me choose a side, my response will always be some variant of "I'm not qualified to have a valid opinion on whats happening" That said. I do not believe the goal of the Palestinian authority or the Israeli Government is genocide. Genocide is when your goal is the erasure of a people or culture. Civilian casualties are part of urban war and not every civilian casualty can be called genocide. I think both sides are far too willing to pay a civilian price, but it is clear from an objective standpoint that the only group who has genocide as an actual goal is Hamas, as they have officially stated their goals to include the complete elimination of the nation of israel and the people within it. It is unfortunate but the 1999 Safe Passage agreement and 2005 Agreement on Movement and Access make it clear that the road connecting gaza to the west bank is open conditional on peace, and hamas chose to break the peace closing the road that supplies the people of gaza with food. But the inevitable and predictable consequences of a clearly laid out agreement doesn't constitute genocide as Hamas was responsible for figuring out how to supply their own people BEFORE they took actions they knew would close their primary supply route, and the palestinian authority hasn't even fired any shots at israel during this particular conflict so they definitely can't be accused of genocide or even supporting genocide at current.

This is why nobody trusts the analysis you make of your own side, it's always trying to justify terrorism by saying "both sides".
It's so wild how vitriolic people like you get when I state the take "genocide of innocents happening on BOTH sides is just bad".

beyond wrong :o
@@siriuscogburn Can you name which unguided munitions Israel is using?
@@kkirT can you name all members of the kardashian family?
@@capcorgiTV But the Israeli action to rescue hostages isn't genocide, you're lying about which bombs they are using and you're doing this with a clear agenda to paint the attempts to free the hostages as something bad. The hostages need to be freed and Hamas should surrender.
Israel has been investigated for genocide accusations and every international court has found that they do not live up to dolus specialis which means their actions are not genocidal. They are targeting military installations with each strike. They are using precision munitions and guided bombs with limited payloads. You are lying to benefit the terrorists for no other reason than sharing some irrelevant "identity" with them.
Is weird seeing a normal and reasonable take on this topic. It is so tragic so few people are able nowadays to have honest conversation. Bless you, stay true to yourself and wish you good fortune mate.
But yea i think all the schizos and extremist saw the sign to lead dog pile charge on him. But it is actually good for him he has been going on the deep end inch by inch stream by stream.
What situation he was 100% correct about Palestine and should not apologize at all
You do realize he educated himself on the actual situation since then, right?
the video deserves all the love it get's I understand why asmon got piled on, do I agree with it 100% no never, I don't think Muslims have ever been an issue, I do know that some of the extremists use things like the Verse of the sword, that basically says it cancels out prior teachings. obviously it wasn't I wish I had been online to listen to this and talk to you about it. as I am a big proponent of listening to other religions, mainly because I love learning about the big differences between Christianity, Islam, Catholicism , and other major religions in the world.
also the rule is, war war never changes. we find new way's to kill each other everyday, but in the end it will not stop even when nuclear war will happen.
Banned for telling the truth, sad state of affairs.
I don't think he said the "truth" as he literally apologized for it and said he was wrong. Look at his twitter.
Beyond that, I don't think he should have been banned either.
@@capcorgiTV he apologised as that’s what the woke want to give his account back. Since my well being is not based on public views, I can say it and not apologise. Again, sad reality.

Ah yes. Maps dictate reality
And for as long as people keep trying to make me choose a side, my response will always be some variant of "I'm not qualified to have a valid opinion on whats happening"
That said.
