Another great request there roger I think steve's voice matched Keith perfectly I also saw you had commented on my other channel, it only shows half of it and I can't find the full comment not sure if you deleted it?
Yep. I plan to make AI covers of Keith Whitley as well as Conway Twitty, Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury and Klaus Nomi, in addition to my favorite TV/movie characters. Yes, I deleted my comment because I feared I might get blocked or reported or something. But I'll start making my own AI covers in May or June. In the comment I deleted, I asked if it would be disrespecting Keith's legacy if I created an AI cover of him singing "Suddenly" by Billy Ocean. I know Billy Ocean isn't country, but Suddenly is a truly great love song. I just needed your input before I could go ahead with it, that's all. And I'd mean well in making AI covers such as that.
@@rogerbarrett1979 I believe that there would no disrespect in putting Keith's voice in Billy Ocean's voice, & this can go for many other artists Before Keith Whitley's death he had released a couple RnB song's like "I've Got The Heart For You". Keith had explained in a Interview somewhere how he wanted to try out more genres and RnB was one of them, It was something along the lines of that just paraphrasing But you can kind of understand that Keith had wanted to expand his music collection but his death came by surprise. In short when recreating AI covers it gives us a new imaginative sound of what possibilities there was for any artist that was short-lived Back in the 1960s there was the Louisiana Hayride and George Jones had an opening for the show, and so was Elvis Presley appearing that same night as well George was playing In-front (before) Elvis was but George didn't want to be upstaged by Elvis so George performed "Long Tall Sally" in a Rock n' Roll version And that same night the crowd enjoyed George better than Elvis. Waylon had said to George he would've smashed being a Rock n' Roll singer, but George stayed with Country. -From Waylons Book I know that wasn't about Keith Whitley but it give's an example that very few Country Singers have always wanted to try something different.
@@CountryArchives I'm glad you agree with my idea. I've imagined that for many years. And like I said, I also hope to make AI covers of other singers and TV/movie characters. I've got a list a mile long.
I'm a fan of Keith Whitley -- a BIG fan -- but it's just sad to me that people now feel at liberty to make forgery art with AI that puts words in an artist's mouth that were never sung, or recorded. Like the recent AI Randy Travis song, "Where That Came From"... the irony of a computer pretending to be Randy Travis... because the REAL Randy Travis, well, the truth is, there really "ain't no more where that came from," and we shouldn't pretend there is -- least of all from an AI program. The sound may be nice, the lyrics may move us, but there's no substitute for genuine art, and genuine artists. It's starting to get to the point you can hardly tell what's real from what's not, anymore, and that's a legitimate tragedy.
The recent AI Randy Travis song was the exception. It was done by Randy. He wanted his words to get out there with his voice. So they had someone sing his song and had AI change it to his voice. Get your panties unbunched please.
@@MatthewvMayo Kindly save your condescending ad hominems for someone else. Regardless of artists' permissions or intentions, it isn't really genuine "art," when it's created by a computer instead of the artist. Forgive me for preferring the Analog Underground to the Fourth Industrial Revolution's transhumanist dystopian visions of the future, but I like my art real and raw, not imitated by a processor singing (or drawing) in zeros and ones.
Hmmm, I’m a Big Whitley fan but this doesn’t sound at all like Keith. It’s kind of like going deer hunting and bringing in a cow with DEER painted on its side then trying to pass it off as the Real McCoy. While there are some folks who may HEAR WHATEVER you tell them they’re hearing, I ain’t one of them. 🤷🏻♂️ My mind isn’t that simple, yet 😳
☕️🤠I think he is one of the best country singers.🎉God bless everyone .🕊️🌹♥️

I said that's not Keith Whitley
If Keith were alive he’d made these songs through cover anyway because he was that good.
