We really enjoyed flying to the Dominican Republic. Super friendly to small airplane people, and it’s a beautiful country. But I’d definitely recommend going IFR. 😊
I have recently stumbled across your channel and watched your 3 newest videos back to back to back. I’m planning on becoming a pilot myself or at least getting some hours in as it seems really fun. Your channel led me to fall in love with all this aviation madness. I love all your videos and keep up the great work!
I have literally thousands of hours overwater time with dozens of various ocean crossings. I once flew the Carribean extensively in twins. Very little of it was in light singles. You are pushing the envelope in a 150 with no raft.
This is amazing man. I just bought me a C150J a month ago. Getting new avionics etc and ready to fly it hopefully next week. You've inspired me. Those fees are really unbelievable and ridiculous.
This is great! Getting my private pilot license was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, I’m starting to use my pilot license to repossess cars and create TH-cam content! 🤘🏻
Thank you so much for sharing your trip. I'm planning to do a similar trip Sep 2024. Any advice on customs, filing flight plans, opening and closing flight plans, etc? Did you buy the Caribbean maps on foreflight and for your GPS? If possible would love to see a planning and procedures video about international travel. Going to call AOPA as well next month. Clear skies and safe travels.
The C150 is approved for a supplemental type certificate for auto fuel unleaded, non- ethanol which costs $4 and some change here in NW USA. It saves lead sludge in the oil pan and lead deposits on the spark plugs.
@@colinfitzgerald4332 MOGAS is definitely the way to go for the reasons you mentioned. It's not as stable as AVGAS though so will tend to stratify if left sitting for extended periods but agitation cam restore it. Unfortunately, here in Canada all MOGAS now has ethanol as part of the eco radical agenda, it's enforced under something called the Clean Fuel Standard and will be inflicted upon the US populace if the democrats stay in power.
Getting noticed in a small country is big man status! WOW Great views. I wish I would have started flying at a young age, was always told I couldn't though with glasses... talk about a lie. My poor plane is waiting on a new cylinder right now, I hope it gets fixed soon!
Is it possible to fly do a transoceanic flight of every contanemt starting in Africa and going to erope then asia then austraile then all the way back to Europe an finally to rich America an last down to poor americal and backt to Africa using lots of fuel stops and a plane that has a range of 800 nmi?
Your "Pack With Me" video is my go-to whenever I need to pack for a trip. Your tips on staying organized are golden! Speaking of organization, have you heard about the new v4 Bento Bag from NomadLane? It could be a game-changer for your packing routine.
Be careful with that nice girl of yours there mate, you were pushing into some pretty average weather. Remember you can always fly another day if you need to.
If you do come here, try doctors cave beach, beautiful place, got lots of wildlife, clean sands, and mini reefs. Even got a tour boat that takes you out to the big reefs.
Probably the best videos I've seen on hopping around the Caribbean! However, I am confused on the timeline of the journey or maybe I just watched the videos out of order...
Thank you!! We're doing them a bit out of order so that's probably why! It'll make more sense soon haha. And we may do a long video at the end of the whole trip 🙌🏻
it’s very nice that you do all this with your girlfriend but you seem way too comfortable with her. nothing lasts forever and eventually one of you will be seeking a new mating partner
You guys stay so calm. 100 miles over the ocean with no VFR code. It’s kind of mind-boggling.
You panic you d!e
i love how candid you are on the cost. ive wanted my ppl and didnt realize all the costs
Yuppp it's expensive as all hell..
@@ChimkenNuggers and he's flying one of the cheapest planes that exist.
That 152s livery is absolutely stunning. Nothing better than a bare metal plane, especially when used with some colour as youve done!

I think you guys should be well over 100k subscribers. Definitely my favorite couple in the air.
Wow, thanks so much!!!

I swear I don't think I've ever seen a 150 look as good as this one
I know! Really nice looking aircraft, it is very well looked after which is why!
Wonderful footage!!! So glad you were able to experience the DR!
Found your channel by mistake. Great video! Awesome editing, commentary and graphics. I can't wait to binge watch all of your videos! Happy Flying!
Having already experienced engine failure and forced landing in a single Otter, I no longer see reasons for taking risks like this
This is the most beautiful cessna that i ever seen.
Love that little blue plane, so two things to keep, the plane 🥰and the girl 🥰

He will learn
As they say re a twin, the 2nd engine gets you to the crash site. Also, you have double the chance of loosing an engine.
@@dannyadventurer1172
Nonsense.
The other engine gets you to an airstrip and saves your life.

If he lives.
I’m pretty sure that there must be a regulation that would state that he’d must have a raft onboard. That 152 is definitely not ETOPS certified 😂
This is my all time favorite video on TH-cam of all time

That's nice. What brand of life raft did you take with you?
The Caribbean is beyond beautiful
That gave me chills when they said they were fans, thats awesome!!
What was the name of the hotel you stayed at because I think I might’ve stayed there when I was in the Dominican republic

cute little plane. Can't wait for you to install the supercharged big block 350 in it!
$10/gallon fuel is the craziest thing about this trip
You would be surprised how expensive fuel is down south
We pay close to that in Canada thanks to Justin Trudeau's carbon tax.
Lol

What happens if you open your window in mid air?
Single engine miles out to sea, you're very adventurous young man.
Or just plain stupid

I can’t to finish my PPL. My girl and I are going to recreate your trips! Thank you for the bucket list
I'm goin for my PPl aswell it's a long but fun journey!
FIRST, get some experience!
Don't head for the Caribbean with the ink still wet on your Private ticket!
Hopefully you have the fabulous 150 with the incredible 40 degree flaps. Yeah baby!
Beautiful aircraft. Great flying as well! What were the final fees?

Awesome Videos! Love the authentic content!
I love the sunglass clip-on. Which brand is it and where can I find these? That would be really helpful when wearing a headset a couple of hours...
What a vibe man

It's not about how big it is, it's about how you use it
Is it possible to modify a 150 to fly 600NM ?
There is a c150 Commuter where Im based at NC05, it has long range tanks from the factory
Hey were you guys to MYE3 i live there ;) couldnt believe my eyes when i saw your banner xD
Awesome video ❤
Beautiful. But (non pilot here) it seems weird that you can fly VFR over open water like that.
So it's cheaper to park an aeroplane in Dominican Republic, than a car in Bristol
What was the resort you went to. Looks amazing
Westin Punta Cana! We loved it!! And the airport is on their property. So cool
love the vids keep them coming!!!
Thank you!! Will do 🚀
Excellent... nice one fifty too!
How can you fly VFR over so much open water in your tiny, cute plane ?
Change the title… “I take my girlfriend scud running”
Look at the price in Turk and caicos and Puerto plata fule I cheaper
Great video guys!!
Thanks so much!
If I am worried about sharks I would not be over open water in a single engine aircraft.
i like flyine cesnna in ptfs cus of dis guy
Uh you didn't talk about how much it cost overall
love the videos!
Looking very cool.
Wooo! Love these

Visit Jamaica 🇯🇲❤️
I live in puerto rico
2:19 Lots of scammy charges there. Might as well land on an abandoned road or runway and fetch the fuel.
He: Land Ho!
She: What’d you call me! 😂😂😂
Anywho, I like your PFDs. I wear one when I’m flying to Catalina (KAVX). Really enjoy your videos 😃

Can you just buy a plane and fly? I didn't know that (maybe a new hobby when i grow up)
Bravo.go ahead
