As incredible as it is, I never really plan on trying to get this good. Surf for me is like, a nice chill tier 1-4 map with some chill music in the background, just trying to be as smooth as possible.

That is why I love this mode. You can play it to be as good as dudes on video above, or just to chill on low tier maps, or even to play with guns and kill everyone on skijump2 map :D
I use it as chill too bro, BUT after 200 hours of surf you begin to be ok good. I think my record on surf_Mesa is like 51,25 seconds

Woah! This is Jesuswashomeless. Randomly stumbling across old videos getting a hit of nostolgia and seeing one of my levels in one of these maps is so cool. Im blown away at how good people are at surfing now (even though this is 4 years old now ha). I remember when that level came out people thought it was impossible for months. Now its a breeze. Such awesome progression.

I started surfing because i was really impressed by those Videos on the Channel. It has been around 2 years now and surf catched me so hard that i played 3,5 K hours until today. I can now finish some Tier 5 Maps and I'm close to do surf_exile as my first Tier 6 Map. That custom gamemode gave me so much its insane. A lot of grind is required but its worth it in my opinion!
Started surfing in 2020 February almost everyday until 2020 June until the server I used to play shutdown. So many memories I wish I can go back to and experience it again. Made lots of new friends and even got to be friend with a famous singer here in Mongolia. I got to top 10 in only 4 months just by chilling and passing tier 4 or above maps. Man... I miss the people I used to play with and I miss the conversations we had. Truly one of the blessings I got from this game. Been clean of this game for 2 years now.

idk why this is soo satifying to watch, something about the flow of the movement or the way the maps are made its just so easy on the eyes
Here you can see that every surfer has it's own style, someone has chill vibes when you looking at them, for example like Oliver, but then there's someone like redc, who make those maps look 10 times harder

Cool and all, but I wanna know the time they get, not just knowing how many seconds they beat it by. You can't see how much they beat the record by if we can't see the record to begin with.

@@zed.lmaooo I think this was a server issue. I've started to play surf again recently and I don't stuck. But I was legit getting stuck all the time 2 years ago while everyone else didn't seem to have such problem on the server. I don't know why that happened.

i have some questions:
1- what they do so that the camera moves that smooth? Is that some kind of mouses that have a thing for that?
2- like how they turn like that? is that a very big mouse pad or what
They have a thing called turn binds which is basically a key that they use to move their camera instead of the mouse, and you can have multiple speeds of turnbinds to make the 180 and 360s easier.
turn binds and very low sense, and yes many good surfers use extra large mousepads

It doesnt necessarily mean that he copied the movement. He was just as fast as the previous recordholder at that time
Also to add a lot of these records are beaten by “copying” the original record holder and improving their times using their lines and skips.
@@gray7112 almost everybody copies the movement of the other Surfer. Otherwise u wouldnt be fast
it means they probably saved time in certain areas and lost time in other areas in comparison to the other run. It doesn't necessarily they copied the run exactly, even though they went the same route
