Piercings, on the other hand, can be a form of self-mutilation, which goes against the biblical principle of taking care of our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Another Christian like me have a different perspective on this. I will say, God’s will for our lives has nothing to do with tattoos and multiple piercings. And there are so many testimonies to this. We’ve seen God fearing people with tattoos and multiple piercings doing God’s work and impacting lives all for the glory of God. They travel to every culture (whether tattoos or piercings or their style of dressing are accepted there or not) and impact lives.
Let’s not make rules where there is no rule just to keep ourselves in bondage .

In professions like nursing, law and the military they adhere to codes of conduct! Even my work mate in the hospital in the US has a tattoo but she covers it! Stop lying to ppl, there are some professions where they don’t mind and there are others where they do mind! Just try it and see, you’ll keep wondering why they never called you back for the job even though they smiled with you! If you’re a truck driver, or in IT for like a specific company, or professions where you don’t have much contact with ppl they don’t care! Low paying jobs like fast food don’t care because they need cheap labor! Go to corporate offices and see their mode of dressing , they cover up they’re piercings and tattoos! Go do your research! Even some companies don’t allow certain nail lengths and that’s in the US! The UK is even worse!

I don't personally believe that tattoos are inherently wrong, but the content of the tattoo can be the deciding factor in whether it is deemed inappropriate or not.

In an institution like the Ghana Armed Forces and other Security services there is nothing like personal life and professional life. Trainees are taught that they transition from civilians to service members, relinquishing some personal autonomy. Even though we would like to have a situation where Piercing and Tattoos do not define you or serve as sole grounds for disqualification from joining these services, we should fairly understand that these Codes of Conduct drafted by these institution have significate reason understood best by people who find themselves in the Institution. Hence you can't be the reason a whole institution would change its Rules and Regulations ( especially based solely on trends or personal lifestyle choices). My advice is to be mindful of the decisions made today, as they shape tomorrow's outcomes.

Even in the “western world” , most profession require you to cover your tattoos. Most people across the world knows what is too much except those addicted to it and who find it pleasing to overdo it. If you have tattoos like lil Wayne, apart from celebrity and entertainment industry almost 80% professions will not hire you.
