It might not be canon but this is one awesome gams, it deserves being the standalone it is. I really like the transiberian orchestra type Christmas guitar riffs and even the rest of the tracks are good. Plus I have to admit I kind of love that Darius chick deviantart at the beginning; don't know if it's Tiat or why it even exists but I dig it

Is it about Super Darius II? A game completely different from the arcade version. It is a very bad reputation from fans who like arcade version. I do not recommend playing if you are an arcade version fan. I have never played arcade version much.
I kind of prefer anime Proco, this one looks like an Everyman version of 'Don't wake papa'. You know that game where you just press the button a number of times to see who gets him up first

If you look up say Lutia from G, Anna from Gaiden and Tiat or Tiat Young from 1 and 2s image (1 comes with them I think) they are anime style from what I remember. But at least for Lutia it's true.

もう一つ衝撃的なことは、赤ちゃんの鳴き声がリアルすぎるのも印象的であった。

PCエンジンCD-ROMへの移植全般に言える事ですが、BGMはオプションでオリジナルとアレンジが選べれば解決なんですが（何故かアレンジ1択なんですよね）
@@ZetueiRetroGames 音色がいかにもローランドのPCMシンセのプリセット音のみというところが、あのダライアスの世界観とは違いただの映画やドラマ音楽あるあるな無個性になっているところだと思います。クリアな音だから良いというわけではない独自性のあるゲームの世界観。そこなんだろうと思います。X68KのMT32にも言えます。

音楽のアレンジの方向性は悪くないが、メロディやグルーブ感をいじりすぎて陳腐な感じになってる。
ゲーム音楽は改変しすぎるとロクな事にならないケースがほとんど。担当したT's Musicは大いに反省してほしい。
個人的には多くのボスのデザインを本家風にリデザインしたいですね…
一部名前の変化や戦法の変更も加えてですが…
あと、メタルブラックとのコラボイベントも加えたいところ…
