I heard Marcelito sing on America's Got Talent and cried for 10 minutes after he finished singing.....he truly has a God given talent and I have never heard matched. I have become a real fan of Marcelito Pomoy!!!
Dimash & Marcelito Pomoy are not in same league. Dimash born to great wealth. Both parents world famous opera singers. He has ONE very well trained voice. Pomoy born & abandoned,was a street kid till the was about eight & lived with his father in jail. When he sang this he did not speak English or Italian. He can breath like a pearl diver.Can medic any singer in any language. When asked later in his life “how can you do that” his reply was “no one said I couldn’t “. Your reaction is the purest 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I have been watching so many reactions to our dear Marcelito Pomoy for so many years now..and it always starts like that..from the very first note..the element of surprise..then as he continues singing - disbelief..confusion...then reluctant acceptance that there indeed exists such a wonderful and talented vocal artist. He is one of our well loved artists in the Philippines. It is fun to see him now perform confidently in concerts and he remains humble. You can find other performances he had in Wishbus for the songs 'Power of Love'(another impressive Celine Dion cover) and a Filipino song entitled 'Narito Ako' which was originally sung by a famous Filipina power vocalist Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.

There's a lot of singing competition in the Philippines in the provinces and sometimes there's a contestant that sings like that. We call it doble kara. He is not the first. Definitely the one who shows the world that this kind of singing exists.

Marcelito is well known for singing solo 'duets'. He is self taught and a real rags to riches story. He can sing in many languages (languages he doesnt speak) and can sound like Whitney Houston, Elvis, Diana Ross Lionel Ritchie just to name a few. Your reaction was priceless. Marcelito truly is a miracle. He raised himself on the street from the age of seven. Unlike dimash who had many years of professional training Marcelito is self taught. Also he was singing in two languages that are not his native language. All of his performances on AGT the Champion Edition are excellent, especially Time to Say Goodbye. Thanks! 👍

That's not true. He wasn't living on the streets as a child. AGT made him lie about that, he said so himself.
I disagree! I'm filipino, the whole country knew he was abandoned at the age of 2yrs old and lived in the streets from 7-26 years old, orphan. He joined Pilipinas Got Talent and he won. That's the start of his stardom.

Dimash can sing the highest notes and can hold Low notes but the difference with Marcelito is Dimash can’t switch from female to male voice like Marcelito so they both have different caliber of talents

@@gtpflug2987 de hecho si tiene una, olimpico que es un duo en canto lírico ,decir que dimash no podría hacer un duo como este es un poco ilógico cuando dimash en sus canciones tiene entre 3 a 7 voces ,lo que dimash hace tiene un grado de dificultad mucho más alto ,con esto no quiero sonar grosera ni minimizar a marcelito pero tanto solo escuchen diva dance de la película el quinto elemento como la hizo dimash hacer de tantos cambios no sólo de tesitura sino de género musical tiene una dificultad imposible para cualquier artista escuchado hasta ahora ,lo que pasa que dimash lo hace contanta maestría y agilidad y tan relajado que lo hace parecer muy fácil ,pero cada una de sus canciones es una prueva de fuego para cualquier cantante , y perdón si sueno como fanática, pero hablar de dimash es cuento de nunca acabar hay tantas cosas por analizar que podría estar aquí comentando horas ,ya para finalizar solo les diré que tanto marselito como dimash me encantan marcelito trasmite mucha dulzura en su voz ,y es injusto compararlos pero al hablar de dimash sin querer termina uno comparando 🙈

Marcelito is an excellent artist and so is Dimash, however if you want the best today. No one can really compare the to the 3 Queens of the Philippines. They are truly complete singers. Morrissette Amon, Katrina Velarde, and Gigi De Lana.

You’ll discover that a lot of these “miracles” come from the Philippines, where the Karaoke was invented in the 80s. Enjoy the ride and more power to your channel!
Let me clear that up real quick, buddy. It was not first invented in the Philippines, it was first PATENTED there. There's a difference between those two. If you haven't figured it out yet, it was first invented in, not surprisingly, Japan during the 70's.
And this is not me just spitting out crap, or because I am biased because I can speak Japanese. No. This is what it actually is. "Karaoke" for example, is a Japanese term. You can look it up yourself.
Good to know. The strong Karaoke culture in the Philippines has been one of the foundations why a lot of good singers hail from there.

in the Philippines we used to have singing contests on national tv called doble cara or double face where the singer sings both parts so its quite common here but unlike marcelito whose voice both male and female are very destinct with each other.common thing here in the Philippines is singing in karaoke (w/c was invented by a filipino)basically in every street theres a singer with no formal training whatsoever and if the song is a duet,we sing along doing both parts and thats our training...we learn by listening and singing along

I remember seeing Marcelino on America’s Got Talent and was gobsmacked. This performance is even more impressive and you pointed out, sitting is a lot more challenging with that type of song. His tone in both his male and female renditions are top tier all by themselves, but to switch with seemingly no effort and remaining on pitch through such a wide range , chest voice, Mx and head voice in BOTH tones…unbelievable. I hope he doesn’t get pigeon-holed into a novelty category since he blurs categories…and becomes a world-wide phenom.

What a wonderful reaction so natural and exactly the same as my reactions on seeing it the first time. I was incredulous and had to play it several times before I could believe it. Dimash is number one; Marcelito absolutely cannot be compared to Dimash who has a unique vocal range, a baritone, tenor, sopranist voice, Dimash has a superior level that I have not found in any singer so far. Dimash is also a natural talent, his voice is a gift from God which he certainly then studied, he perfected at the conservatory, it is true he graduated from the conservatory, but the fact remains that if Dimash hadn't had the gift of a such a stellar voice, with crazy high vocals, which Marcelito doesn't have, certainly the conservatory couldn't give it to him as much as Dimash would have committed himself to studying singing. Then we have to say that his teacher and composer Igor Krutoy, the texts he writes to Dimash are made and studied to measure for Dimash's vocal cords that no singer can come close to intoning them
Marcello had zero training. Self trained. Dimash had the luxury of having all the lessons. Imagine if Marcelito even had just half of the training Dimash had! True God given talent in Marcelito.
