@@Chip_Whitley PLEASEEEEEEEE PUT ALL THE RICHARD AND HOWARD INTERVIEWS LOL. I've been looking for them for months. I will literally PAY$$ to have ALL the interviews ❤
This was the "metal" era , the golden age of the show. We felt like we were part of a community every single morning (and night with the CHannel 9 and E! shows). I miss that time, but I'm glad I was part of it.
Yeah, he's also someone you wouldn't have thought would be a regular on the show. He is so "offended" by everything, but can't stop himself from going on. He loved it. Masochist lol.
because theres a thing called shock jock where a disk jockey would try to be shocking......its like trying to cancel comedians....its moronic their identity is saying provocative things lol. Also howard is the best to ever do it you cant cancel a goat
because in the 90s cancel culture wasn't what it is today... and today's howard stern is a tame politically correct kitty compared to what he used to be
A true comedian attacks the powerful, not the powerless. Richard had no power, he wasn't president or a lawmaker. Just because someone is famous, doesn't mean they deserve to be ridiculed just because. That's exploitation, and the reason why there are no truly funny people anymore. Everyone just goes for a cheap laugh to be mean.
First off, a comedian makes fun of anyone they want. Comedy is not social activism, and people keep forgetting that you can laugh at something without approving of it. People laughed at Kinison's "World Hunger" bit not because they thought starving Africans were idiots but because he dared to question those charity commercials at all. It's funny because how could anyone be AGAINST helping starving children who appear in commercials with hollowed bellies and flies lighting on them? It's like his routine on drunk driving. He complained that it was stupid to expect drunk drivers to take the bus and anyway, how are you supposed to get the car back home so you can go to work tomorrow? So we're gonna drink, and drive, and pull it off. He wasn't advocating it, even though we all know he did it plenty of times. We laugh because who but someone living his awful lifestyle would actually complain about cracking down on drunk driving. Not because we all think drunk driving is funny and no big deal. As far as Richard having no power, despite his true kindness, Richard is and was back then a multimillionaire with tons of influence. Sam was right to say that since Richard is a public figure, he's going to have to handle people ridiculing him. While Howard mocks Richard's effeminate behavior, Sam laughed at the idea that "Sweatin' to the Oldies" needed a sequel and then made fun of the women who appeared in it, comparing them to sumo wrestlers, etc. He then said that Richard cried during interviews not because he was sympathetic but because he was trying not to laugh in the people's faces.
@@williamshaw9047 Irony is always funny. It can also be sad, when it involves tragedy. Sammy's comments about drunk driving, and then he gets killed by a drunken driver -- sad, sad irony. I try to imagine Sammy looking back on that from wherever he now is, and seeing the irony in it, and laughing. Once a comedian, always a comedian. That was his true calling, and he was great at it. Sammy once said something very wise -- he pointed out that he can't be responsible for how people behave because of his jokes. They're jokes, and if someone wants to put aside whatever wisdom they have to act on his jokes, that's on them. We can laugh because his humor, dark though it was, was genuinely funny. It doesn't mean we'll go out and act on some of that foolishness, but if we do, that's our fault. Sammy pointed that out, and he was right on. I think Richard was entirely too sensitive, or perhaps, he was joking, too? A little hard to tell for certain. It made for a funny show, and that was the ultimate goal -- making a funny show. The sillier, the better. And this one was pretty silly.
RIP He was the best I love Richard Simmons

There will never be another Richard. His stern moments are all amazing
Sam was such a good guy, no matter how gone he was he still called in and genuinely apologized
yeah he only had to drink about 2 bottles of thunderbird to get up the courage first
He could go either way. Read "Brother Sam" if you haven't; it's pretty honest about who he was.

I have no idea how Howard stern hasn’t been canceled.

Kanye West might have the answers on that one.
He wasn’t cancelled because he sanitized his show before the PC wackos took over society
Is Howard that unaware of himself? Or very delusional?

Grow up
Anybody that talks about punching up vs punching down in comedy reveals their own bias that they think certain people are beneath them.
What a terrible segment
