I had an encounter with Tipster. I left a comment on his video about Jack Wright being sexually assaulted by Sienna about how my own partner had a similar experience. Somehow that was enough for Tipster to add me on all social media and like/comment on basically everything. He deleted most of these social media profiles shortly after being exposed for the Goth Mommy drama or I'd have screenshots of it. While he didn't do anything wrong, it definitely weirded me out before I became aware he's pretty infamous for his simping.
So gross that he basically took notice of you just to be a creep when you shared a vulnerable story. You didn't deserve that, I'm sorry he was so nasty.
One of the biggest problems with Tipster is that he changes up his whole body of opinions to fit in with whichever crowd he happens to be hanging onto at the time.
Why does that makes me of the time shills were defending the Star Wars Disney Trilogy and then later do a 180* on their stance when majority opinion says the trilogy is not very good? I know tastes and opinions can change over time but not to the point of acting like the previous stance doesn’t exist.

Honestly, I struggle to understand what even happened to Tipster. Not that I ever thought his content was "great" from the get go, But the dude had a pretty respectable career just reviewing retro games and tech. It wasn't my thing but you could tell that he was passionate in the stuff he talked about. Why he ever decided to pivot into commentary is beyond me, I know he had a couple videos blow up back in the day but the dude was never built for that scene. If I was him I would've just went back to making the retro content instead of pivoting to breadtube. Like he had that audience for a reason.
5 minutes in and I want to add a little bit about early Tipster. I want to say I found him back in 2014 or so when he was Robert, aka Your Geeky Tipster. As you said, it was retro games but he did a lot of retro tech in general besides just gaming and other geeky things. There are a few videos on Internet Archive of that era, like a PlayStation Retrospective. There is also a video on Pixel Vault Studios channel where Tipster sells a lot of his collection. Pixel Vault Games was like his local retro games place and I remember a video he did with a guy sometimes on the Pixel Vault Studios channel named Carlos which is long lost to time. He was one of my favorite channels back then. Just a guy doing videos on something he was passionate about. He never seemed built for the YT drama scene. Too sensitive. It's quite sad as someone who watched him before all of this. Anyway, back the video. Just wanted to add a little bit because I doubt many watching this were Your Geeky Tipster fans.
But you know anyone who has been following the downfall of Blair Zon will actually know that she read a post of his where he addressed himself as “The Geeky Tipster”. I figured that at one time that was his handle online.
I saw his face around for years yet couldn't pinpoint where exactly I knew him from. But after looking at Internet Archive I recognized his old profile picture, When I still watched Nintendo content in 2015-2016 his channel showed up from time to time. His videos weren't my style but I could see why he had an audience, Why he decided to throw that all away is beyond me.

The fact he got him on his show tells us something about the recognition of his channel at that time (or Todd was just desperate). Those videos were all pretty good. With what happened between then and now, I'm afraid your conclusion (in part two) is spot on: he didn't want to commit to a side as he was either too cowardly or didn't want the drama to die down in order to keep making content on it. And we have more than enough of those on YT.

I remember his videos on Todd Rogers and his cheating on the Dragster videogame. The fact he got him on his show tells us something about the recognition of his channel at that time (or Todd was just desperate).
Those videos were all pretty good. With what happened between then and now, I'm afraid your conclusion (in part two) is spot on: he didn't want to commit to a side as he was either too cowardly or didn't want the drama to die down in order to keep making content on it.
And we have more than enough of those on YT.
