i guess the questions is more how much experience you have in software development and problem solving, rates are greatly affected by numerous factors for example which country you are in, how mature is the workplace, are their lots of developers laying around, and many more. if you want my advice coming from having been in the field for 9+ years, focus on the core concepts and negotiate your pay wage based on your abilities to adapt and problem solve, now of course again based on the maturity of the company. but as a general idea developers should earn not less than 16$/h. Argue about your competency and let them dwell down the rabbet hole of wages and rates you will never get a definitive answer. peace :)
