I love how Gary Numan has incorporated elements of his previous albums into Intruder. Its homage to all his sounds and his fans who loved his earlier stuff, while coming up with his new sound, so its a wonderful blend of old and new.
thank you for making a 53 year old man just as excited as the10 year old boy he was to know he is about to buy a new gary numan album!! honestly gary, this is all inspiring , you get better & better! ive seen you live many many times but i feel this album will be more amazing than most to see you perform. thank you for being the soundtrack to my whole life! lucky me!

To still be improving when you're in your sixties is phenomenal, for any songwriter, yet alone one in such a 'niche' category. I can't wait to see / hear what he does next.
Same, but never got to see a show.
I only saw him once, in October 2019. One of the best nights of my life! Seriously, if you get the chance, go and see him live!

He actually moved to the U.S. to get involved in film scoring (thus choosing California for home base). As he said 'How many years can I keep touring...I'm really feeling it these days'.
I wish he could get involved with the 'When Gravity Fails' adaptation project...a Middle Eastern Cyberpunk film and his score would blow everything else away 🙂
His music has appeared in soundtrack for movies and PS, Xbox games I believe
Fave track so far. The music has evolved but how he is pushing his vocals stands out for me on this album. Top man after all these years.
I’ve said this elsewhere. This album really complements and shows off his vocals more than any other album. Voice sounding better and better with each passing year. Crazy really.

This album sounds like to the musical score to some awesome sci-fi adventure film - The best thing in 2021 by a mile.
Rumors were back in like late 2019 Numan & Trent Reznor we’re teaming up to score the new Matrix film coming out in 2022 , but that never happened. As Gary has a big tour starting in 2 months
How about an awesome sci-fi series instead? I'm going to need a little time more but...

@@calebfuller4713 Numan has made a couple film scores. One was for the 1991 horror film "The Unborn" which was released as a music album titled "Human". And more recently Numan score a graphic novel horror film called "From Inside". Interesting how the film's website says "From Inside is Numan’s first foray into writing music for film." I guess Numan is not counting Unborn, since most of the soundtrack was unused in the film. Both are worth a listen if you look them up on TH-cam. The Unborn would have made a cool 90's sci-fi game soundtrack back in the day.
These people that post comments moaning how it all sounds the same etc etc, do you actually realise the real fans 'love' the Numan sound. Yes of course it sounds the same, of course it has the similar industrial, dystopian atmosphere, the breaks in the music, lyrics...
But guess what? We love it.

Exactly his Career almost went of the rails in the 80,s because he was trying to be what he wasn't just keep giving us that unique numan sound gary anyone who's bored by it go listen to something else

I've enjoyed Gary's material for as long as I can remember. I bought PURE when I was stationed in Germany and got my team into his music. The album became the Swing Shift Anthemology. Good times.

Unique innovation? Numan was innovative in the early 80's. Not anymore.
The words of this song are really positive. I think he is saying that we shouldn't waste this precious opportunity of being alive, by being too concerned with the afterlife. Think of how wonderful it is to be alive, on this planet, at this time. So much we can do. THIS world we are living in, is heaven. Value and enjoy it.

I know something about that, I had a clinical death two years ago and I can't stop listening to Gary's album from day one, in a way, he managed to catch the right one the feeling of being alive and still wondering. When you come across something special ... you know, THIS is very special!

Favourite song off the album for me. The chorus gives me chills, especially after the instrumental break and the lead up into it!
I heard in a numan interview that he says he hadn't made one happy song. He forgot 'you walk in my soul his only happy song I think. He's brilliant and he sends me apples such as every track on intruder. I like them apples
If he is telling this to the apostles out there, it makes me want to do 'more listening' for prayers than speaking them.

I always loved Gary Numan ! but I don't know how it happened but I forgot about him for a couple of years and lately my BF put on the song Cars and I was like DAAYUUUM ! I know the singer how come I forgot about such a TERRIFIC artist ! and since that day I am back to listening to his music on a daily basis !!

agree, Numan is the perfect sound vehicle for futuristic-cinematography-soundscapes, something different, his last several collections for example, when you can get him off the road! His sound is meant for films!

Not going to lie: this one made me cry. The break reminded me of Before You Hate It ("once is always, so don't call me").
His voice is beautiful and has really improved with age....he also really knows how to get the best sound for his voice....a master at everything he touches....not just music.

Three years ago, I downloaded his album without even listening to it and I loved it. I’m convinced by now there isn’t one song by Gary I don’t like. Only song I didn’t like was the alternate version of “The End of Dragons” yet I loved the main version of the song he did.
Not only do I love the song, but the lyrics finally give me some perspective on who you are. Love what you seem to be saying here, and love your love of family. Congrats on your resurgence of success. All of that hard work has paid off and I hope you reach your professional and personal goals. Keep up the great work Sir. He has sang a song called 'Long Way Down' that plays at the end of The Evil Within. But you're right, that would be awesome. Some songs from Sacrifice easily could've fitted perfectly with Silent Hill.
