2020是個特殊的年份儘管新冠病毒肆虐全球，但寶島台灣還能保有一塊淨土，讓人民安
居樂業，讓藝術家能以藝術撫慰人心。在慌忙對應防疫策略之中，我們踏穩了步伐，更
以高度的熱情、求美的情懷，持續讓舞台上的每個作品發光發亮！我們以對擊樂經典的
致敬、對A.I.人工智慧的期待、對新生代的培育，三種獨特的方向籌辦2020高雄現代擊
樂節，也期許能為高雄的擊樂發展帶來更多的助益。
擊樂在高雄好還會更好，讓台灣能在擊樂的國度，跨越國界稱頌美好！
2020 has been a special year. Although the novel coronavirus has been raging
around the world, Taiwan, often called the “treasure island” in Chinese, has
remained a safe place where people can live and work in peace and contentment.
Here, artists have also continued performing and bringing art to soothe people’s
hearts.
While scurrying to respond to the epidemic and take part in a prevention strategy,
we continued resolutely working to ensure each of our performances shines with
enthusiasm and beauty. We have organized the 2020 Kaohsiung Contemporary
Percussion Festival with three goals in mind: to give tribute to important “classic”
works of the percussion repertoire, to look forward towards a future of artificial
intelligence (AI), and to cultivate a new generation of percussionists. We aim to
ensure that the world of percussion will continue developing in Kaohsiung, thus
helping Taiwan to cross international borders and gain recognition for the beauty of
its art.
