great video, you just forgot to mention that if you have a lens on the bod that has an IS switch the IS Stabilization is not showing up in the menu (only the digital IS für movie) since lens and body are working together for the best possible stabilization. The menu option is only available when you use a lens without the IS switch.

Thanks for the mention at roughly 15:05 about menu 10 and video as I've not seen that mentioned anywheres else but here. Actually the whole shooting menu 10 (when in still mode) is not talked about in the 900+ page Canon R7 manual.

what is this "you're offline. check your connection" screen" screen?
any specific tips for using EF lenses with the canon adapter? I switched from a 7DMKII. My sigma 18-300 contemporary was tack sharp on the 7D, but I just can't get reliable focus on the R7 with the canon adapter. Went out today at a park. Basically nothing was in focus. I tried everything from a cardinal hopping around from the ground to the trees across a moat, to a bee at ground level pollenating, to groups of stationary dandelions. Nothing was really in focus using autofocus. I tried all shutter modes. I was able to get the occasional softly focused image using one shot and single shooting drive mode. FWIW, the lens correction menu does not properly identify the lens, but i'm not sure if it's supposed to with the EF adapter.
Its the adapter. Also make sure your firmware is up to date and dependong ony our adapter, it may also need a firmware update. Also canon adapters don't work well with sigma stuff if adapted.
@@TechThroughTheLens I actually bought the sigma USB lens adapter, and updated the firmware. I noticed a moderate improvement. I'm using the canon branded adapter without control ring. There seem to be plenty of people using EF lenses with the same adapter and no issues. I did try the EF 70-200 f/4L. It was definitely much sharper, but still soft, IMO.
I gave up on the R7, and exchanged it for an R6 Mark II. So far, with the same adapter, things are looking more promising. I haven't had a proper day out with it, but I'm staying hopeful.
Question, why does the video quality looks grainy ? How do I change it
I recommend to look at your iso and white balance if you are having problems and have good lighting
I am confused between choosing r6 mark ii and lumix s5ii x. Canon has expensive meanwhile great lens and lumix has great video features. Could you please me?
Entirely depends on what you need but the lumix is a great camera at a great price. The autofocus lags behind the canon though but they do release firmware updates and make it better regularly
